Where will the money for signing Ziyech come from? Are they going to gamble that they will make the CL group stage when they have consistently failed? Remember about a decade ago this was their approach and they almost went bankrupt.

  2. Yeah, curious too how they're going to do that, but it's I think creative thinking by people making connections that are interesting, but so far not been confirmed. Unless Chelsea coughs up a part of his paycheck (dunno how long his contract is running) I can't really imagine him coming into the Eredivisie. It would be a nice saving if PSV would cough up 1.5-2.0 million for him being loaned for a season.

Doubtful that Chelsea will loan him out as he is surplus to their needs. They will try to get as much serious money for him as they can. Problem is Ziyech is 30 which is not a good age to get a big transfer fee. There may be an EPL team that can meet his salary demands.

Chelsea reportedly wants £30 million for Ziyech, who still has two years remaining on his contract. This means that if a club is interested, they need to pay for the remaining years of the contract, which is worth £100,000 per week.

  4. Wow, really that's serious money for a player of Zyech's age. I can't see a club pay that, not even an epl club.

PSG and Milan were very interested in Ziyech but move never happened.
I believe Chelsea screwed up and failed to complete his move to PSG by the actual deadline this past transfer window.
    Faxed paperwork over too late.
Almost as stupid as Ajax for not registering Haller for Europe.

PSV should have some money to play with by selling Sangare which is quite possible along with the funds during the past transfer window when they sold Gakpo and Madueke for good money.

  7. Some PSV watchers are a bit worried about the combo PSV/Bosz. They see Peter Bosz as a coach, who is completely different from how PSV as a club plays football, a bit conservative, which is the opposite of the way PB plays.
It also makes the link between the youth team and the first team a mismatch, if the playstyle changes in the Bosz direction.

  8. Several sources now mention PSV and Augsburg have a deal on Pepi, but I'm still cautious with all the whipping up "revelations" that sound as stupid as feck.

  9. Seems a done deal. Peter Bosz is the coach for the coming season.
So PSV is ready to start the rebuild of the team. From what I've read PB had intensive conversations about what he thought was necesary to get PSV challenging for the title. I guess he has some promisses/commitments in that respect, if he's signing a contract.

  12. Jenson Seelt transfers to Sunderland, who have been watching him for a long time in our second tier with Young
PSV. They are very enthusiastic about him.

Jenson Seelt: Sunderland complete deal to sign PSV Eindhoven defender
    Last updated on

"Jenson is a player that we have been tracking for some time and he's gained invaluable experience at senior level over the past two seasons, regularly playing in the Dutch second tier and being part of PSV's senior matchday squad," Sunderland sporting director Kristjaan Speakman told the Sunderland club website.

"Naturally comfortable in possession, he also possesses some great defensive attributes that will help him adapt to our playing identity and Championship football."

I don't get it. The defense of PSV has serious problems and they let a talent walk out this easy?

  14. Jarrad Branthwaite, Thorgan Hazard, Fábio Silva and Sávio are leaving PSV. Their loans arenot extended. PSV did an effort to buy Jarrad from Everton, but didnot succeed.

  15. PSV signed Noa Lang.
If they manage to keep Xavi Simons they will have an interesting attack with Pepi, Bakayoko, Vertessen and El Ghazi.
They need to upgrade their defense though.

Appears Simons returns to PSG. What a blow for PSV.
Not a smart move in my opinion as PSG are a massively dysfunctional club.
Hopefully Xavi will continue to develop, but I don’t think this was a smart decision.
