Both Miles Robinson and Chris Richards make their returns as CB’s. Folarin Balogun and Alan Sonora look to be cap-tied to the US in this tourney. a reasonably strong roster, considering injuries.
Josh Cohen (Israeli league keeper) is only in for training and cannot be in the 23 man squad because he was not in the preliminary roster. Rumors are that there were several last minute changes due to injury and maybe the coaching change.
I'm wondering if a back 3 is in the cards. There's no 6 on the roster that I rate, and there's only 3 FBs, with Scally having limitations going forward. Weah played both LWB and RWB this season. Both games could go to extra time. Gregg was experimenting with the back 3 until the backline had injury problems in the summer, and the U-20s play that way most of the time. It seems part of the Stewart/Berhalter system, which is a thing. It's too bad that the Destroyer battleship seems in a funk. If he was firing on all cylinders, he could bring that bite.
There is a winger for Espanyol named Luca Koleosho. He just scored a very nice goal against Almeria. He has US, Canadian, Nigerian, and Italian citizenship. He’s played for the US and Italy at youth level, and in Aidan Morris fashion is on Canada’s preliminary squad for the Nations League.
Valencia needs a result today to ensure safety. At 1-1, Musah came on in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute he got sent off because of an incredibly stupid direct red card. Honestly, I’m more than happy to see him leave in the summer. He was good the first couple months of the season, but has been total dog shit since. He’s basically been benched the last two months in favor of multiple academy players, who have been better. Hopefully our absolutely hopeless management can fool an English team into giving Valencia a truck load of money for him. Earlier in the season he would’ve been worth it. Now? Not a chance.
Between them potentially stealing the Destroyer battleship and the wildfire smoke, I'm developing quite a resentment against them.

So, was Might Motor not ready to commit to either nation yet? Seems like a great opportunity to go to a call-up and impress, much less get into a match. Notably with Tyler Adams out injured for the US.
I'm hoping that he was promised a Gold Cup roster spot for the USMNT and he's waiting for that to make it official.
Jesse gonna play aidan until his hamstrings rip off John Herdman says Aidan Morris’ heart is with the United States. Thinks he could be cap-tied as a result at the Gold Cup, or if not will wait for the new U.S. coach. Herdman says the lack of youth camps to build affinity with Canada is costing the program.#CanMNT— Oliver Platt (@plattoli) June 7, 2023
Rumor that the gold cup roster will be released tomorrow. Morris is on it. Need the CB ready to go once the window opens

In BJ we trust.
I don’t mind the midfield. The attackers are rough though. And how the hell is Gressel, a wingback, labeled an attacker? Might see a 3 CB formation, I did noticed Robinson, Miazga, and Long were all called up. DeJuan Jones on the left would be awesome.
Looks like Turner, Slonina, Reynolds, and Busio are the only European players on the roster. Except for Sonora (Juarez), a completely different midfield than the Nations League roster. Zendejas (América) is the only holdover forward, and Miles Robinson (Atlanta) is the only holdover defender. Not sure why Gressel is listed as an attacker either. And I thought Jordan Morris was injured.
