Feel like Emmen is a heavy favorite here.

  5. Yup, they played pretty good against NAC.

Twente took care of business and Sparta just won on penalties. So they are re both through to the final to see who plays on Europe later this summer.

I watched the game, the defenders didnt provide him the cover and left him exposed when every heerenveen were disposed upfront. Made some good saves but couldnt do much on the goals.

  8. Haha, Olij would have made it into van Gaal's selection as the penalty killer:D

Didn’t see the match, but it seems like Emmen might have had the overall better run of play… or at least better chances overall? Saw the highlights - Zivkovic was a bit to blame on both goals (made the foul at the edge of the box for the penalty and did some weak defending in the run up to the second goal).

I guess fc Twente is the favourite over two matches, but you still have to make the game.
Sparta has a few players who simply can make a surprise result possible.
Let's see if Twente has to put in a serious effort at home after this evening's result

  11. Well, the first half didnot disappoint me. Lively with high energy play from both sides. Defenses keep a good lock on the doors, so sofar only one real chance for Cerny, in which I thought the better option was to pass back to the player close to the penalty dot than shooting himself.
Looking at this I can see either of the two teams make a good impression in the Conference league, but after the transfer window we have to wait and see what kind team shows up.

  12. Well, that was an enjoyable match to watch, with a last minutes leveling goal, which gives away how intense the match was.
Promises alot for the final 90 (or 120?) minutes coming sunday. Given Sparta just a few days ago had to give it all in 120+ minutes against fc Utrecht, they were capable of putting a relentless fight on the pitch.

For fc Twente the suspension of Sadilek Sunday is a quality loss.

In a couple of hours it will be decided which team goes into Europe.
Most likely line up of the teams:

At 18:00 CEST it will be decided which team plays next season in the "Eredivisie":

Fc Emmen has a hurdle to scale to stay up!

I don't understand the point of this game. Is it not promotion/relegation or is it something else?

  15. If you're referring to the Twente - Sparta match, that one decides who's getting the last spot for the qualification rounds in the Conference League.
The fc Emmen - Almere City match decides who's going to play in the Eredivisie next season.

Twente is in the Conference league and Almere City is promoted, correct?

  18. Yup.
I must say, I watched the CL final and both Twente- Sparta play off matches, that I enjoyed the play off matches more than the CL Final.
