Extremely grateful to Eden for this. This is a ton of money saved. He could have easily run down his contract if he wanted to, had the perfect right to do that. Instead he has shown utmost virtue and decency and understanding for the situation. I think it was a way to show hes sorry to the fans. He was never unprofessional, just extremely unlucky. I can't be angry at him the way posters here are.

Meh, it's a small consolation. He himself has known for at least a year that it's all over for him unless he's delusional. Should have took 50% for the remaining two or three years and called it to see if he could start somewhere else.

 

Eden took a massive paycut to help the club. I still blame the club for going after a notoriously lazy player and setting a precedent with the +€130mil paid for a player that has 11 months left on his contract, something that can bite us in the butt with Kane.

I wish it turned out better for us and Hazard but it wasn't meant to be.

Getting Joselu makes no sense. Alvaro seems better already, faster with ball and has eye for his teammates.

For Hazard, it’s the worst transfer in history of football. Even the likes of Kaka, Griezmann, Coutinho, Dembele, Pogba all showed some glimpses here and there, some more than others, but Hazard has not contributed anything to winning trophies, it’s mind boggling that in 4 years he did literally nothing.

 

Coutinho can be argued because he scored vs Barca to eliminate ans humiliate them. And his Transfer fee was higher.
