if Thiaw isn't playing U21 Euro, then Flick needs to use/integate the boy.

Adeyemi looking unfit if anyone wonder why absent and believe Bella-Kotchap has same issue.

F.Nmecha's issue looking more serious also out of both U21+Senior NT. Was said by kicker that he was gonna get Senior NT call up but had to retract a few days ago.

Bernd Leno, the DFB's favourite GK, gets a call-up.

Apparently Gnabry is injured, I guess the same applies to Sule?

this worries me, I have no problem with Havertz in NT he performs especially if NOT at CF but if any Real Madrid transfer and he flops, could wreck the player.

I actually think Kai's style of football would fit the la liga better than the epl. At the moment he just need to GTFO of Chelsea.

the next generation of GKs aka 00-onwards seem to be making pretty good progress though, better than 90s born GKs especially if you go 93-99. I wouldn't write off 99-Grill, time will tell if he can become #1 in 1BL one day. Mantl and Fruchtl are already #1s in 1st Abroad. GKs like Schreiber (brokethrough 2BL Kiel #1 on loan), Gebhardt (already 2 XIs for Swiss 1st and was #1 on 3rd Liga loan), Ernst (was in Kicker XI of 1BL on his 1BL debut for Hertha and now contender to be Hertha #1 next season. With Dardai continuing as coach could happen), Urbig (brokethrough 2BL Jahn #1 on loan), Schenk, Weiss (already 3 XIs for 2BL KSC, same club as Kahn, LOL), Seimen (seen as most promising GK in Germany and already 2 bench for Stuttgart who see him as future #1), Goller (seen as future Hertha #1), Podlech (seen as future Schalke #1) etc aka list can go on and on, how long until they all breakthrough 1BL level? There are plenty of others too who made themselves 1BL bench GKs or close to breakthrough 1BL-2BL, only 1 injury away.

He is hardly setting the EPL on fire so a change is a good thing. Chelsea was the wrong club at the wrong time for him. German players have done well in Real Madrid in recent years (Kroos, Khedira, Özil, Rüdiger) so no reason for him not to do well especially with Modric and Kroos coming to the end of their careers he will have a chance to establish himself in his best position on the field, and hopefully Ancelotti will teach him to defend as well since he demands all his players to contribute defensively.

Gundogan has to start every game. It's a question who starts in the Germany midfield with him.

but a club like Real is always a risk. What others did at the clubs doesn't mean anything. And reports say its for Havertz at #9 too and not for M.

if he doesn't pan out very early on, they'd go transfer market and he'd waste the last season before a Home tourney. Not really a good time.

National coach Hansi Flick: what a thriller in the final! This European Championship title is a fantastic, great success for the coaching team around Christian Wück and the team behind the team. Watching this team was fun. You could feel their enthusiasm and conviction on the pitch from the start in every game. This will to win, their passion for attacking football, enormous nerves of steel and a very special team spirit also led our U17 national team to victory over France in the final. This title win is a nice confirmation of the quality of our talents and their excellent training by the clubs and the DFB.

if only the Senior NT would play like that. They play nothing like the younger age groups. Germany under Flick play like a bunch of minnows, LOL.

Seriously, most of these guys play each other weekend after weekend in the BL, but when put together in the NT it's like they don't know each other.

Pengland Golden Generation style, wasting a whole generation, who could never gel together. Only time they worked out was CC17 and that's it, well at least we got 1 trophy out of the worst German Generation ever, LOL.

The group stage crash outs in the last two world cups and the poor showing in the Euros has badly effected self belief and confidence.

Messing up in the Nations league also.means lack of competitive games till next year's finals which also further hinders us.

With abit of luck next year who knows how far we can go, as another epic failure would be absolutely disastrous.

Congrats to Blaswich (1st title), Halstenberg, Henrichs, Klostermann, Werner (1st title), Raum (1st title) and Ba (1st title) on winning DFB Cup.

This was Timo Werner's 1st Domestic Title LOL
1 CL, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 FIFA Club World Cup, 1 CC17 with Germany

he dived vs Schalke years and years ago and he apologized for it but like 7 years later and people still hate him for it, LOL.

also way too many people actually blame him for all of Germany's woes. Too many celebrated his injury to miss WC22 but we still went out in GS, LMAO. People are stupid, Japan would never have went all in for comeback 2-1 W if we had Werner uptop ready for counters. ALL of our counters went nowhere because this team isn't able to counter at all. I'm not surpised as majority of the attack plays in teams that don't counter much.

Does anyone know when Germany will announce their base camp for the 2024 Euro Cup? First batch of tickets go on sale in July and I am looking at going with the fam.

EDIT: Seems like tickets go on sale (lottery style in Oct).

Japan game, as soon as Gundogan got subbed off we lost total control in midfield.

What a phenomenal season for Gundogan!! I always like him since his Nuernberg days and he was quite unfortunate with injury right when he's about to breakthrough the first eleven of the German NT.
And as I said before, he must be now the undisputed NT captain.

The one thing missing from his cabinet is a major international trophy. That would be only positive of M. City winning the CL next Saturday
