If todays game showed us anything, it’s that we badly need a world class striker and a better goalie this summer. Both are absolute must haves.
What could we get with 100million + sales. We need striker(s) CM and CB and Goalie. With current market we could only sign 2or 3 max unless we discover a hidden gem.
We need to spend 250 mil this summer to get everything we need which is top class 9, starting 8, 6 cover, CB cover, and starting GK.
Gaz is right. We get one this summer and the other next. The goals weren't on DDG, the defenders are in front of the Gundy and don't make quality efforts to block but you want to be a simplton and sweet goal and blame Dave. Dave has been good not great this season but today's goals aren't on him. Licha is out most important guy on the backline. Varane plays better with him. Lindelof is a handy third but that's about it. We need to buy a young DM to rest Casi or have Casi play 4th CB while we buy a 18 yo Defender we can develop like Garnacho is being developed.

Literally every observer has said Dave has to do better on both those goals. Sure, the defending in front of him was poor, especially on the first, but both those goals are savable shots. The 2nd goal in particular he made a ton of mistakes from positioning, to anticipation, to reactions all being bad. Defend Dave all you want but he had the most mistakes leading to a goal of anyone in the PL this season. That’s an actual stat that he led. It’s time to move on from Dave. He’s been great for us but his elite reaction saves have faded, he’s only gotten worse with distribution, and he keeps making more big mistakes. It’s time to go.
What are you on about? Our rumored budget is 100 mil plus sales. You say we’ll get 100+ mil in sales but in the past decade we’ve easily been the worst PL club at selling fees. We’re going to take a bath on Maguire, Bailly, Martial, etc this summer. The only guys we may actually get a decent fee for will be McT and Henderson. And those won’t be more than 20-30 a piece. We may barely raise 100mil in sales but I don’t see that number reaching 150 unless someone like Sancho goes.
