Crappy source, but a number of places reporting this same story. Reportedly our new away kit looks like a Newcastle shirt (but don't worry - it is dark green not black ...). Our third kit looks like a Leeds United kit. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22528615/man-utd-away-kit-leaked-premier-league-rival/
Now those are shirts designed for mass production. I'd rather wear a cardboard box with a Man U sticker.
Kinda funny also that we have a sponsor in TeamViewer who wants to run away and yet we have been unable to secure an alternative. So into another season with this uneasy marriage of convenience (and contract). Would put me off buying a shirt anyways - as think the sponsorship changes fairly soon after there is a winner in the Glazer sale lottery. Then the TeamViewer shirts are consigned to the history of our fairly unsuccessful past along with Jones, Woodward, Ronaldo (part 2), McFred, Maguire, Glazers etc.
So far not feeling them either. I hate when our home kits have more black trim than white. Its like where a totally different club with that combo. I do love when we wear black shorts, but the heavy black on the top is a turn off. The striped kit? We could do so much better than that. White away kits are always gonna be plain. They can do better, but its just meh.
We do this every year when kits are released, but meh lets look back. I love those Gold kits from the late 90's early 2000's. Which we got those back. I liked those Navy blue umbro kits with red and white trim. I believe Henry scored his iconic flick and volley at highbury when we wore those.
the last few years the kits have left me thoroughly uninspired. the decent ones have been odes to older kits and the rest have been lame to vanilla designs. the last two kits i liked were the onyx grey kit with the hexagons circa 2017/18 and the pink one maybe 2018/19. we had such nice kits circa 2007. even with the AIG stuck on the front. other clubs are more adventurous or creative with their designs too with multiple colour swirls or textures. ours feel like no one even reviews them. it feels like "yea yea send whatever. doesn't matter"
