Yea, I think Rodrygo and Havertz can interchange roles with in the game with one starting as false 9 and other on RW when Benz is unavailable.

None of these guys know anything. They're just guessing.

We're not signing Kane or Havertz if Benzema is staying. We also seem to have confirmation from players that Benzema should be back.

If anything we're interested in Kane as a free transfer next summer and Havertz only as a loan this one.

    My read on Benzema situation:
He is under contract until 2024 and both parties won't agree to mutually part ways unless a replacement is found.

No sane individual turns down 200m a year.

I think Benz stays and club will try to sign Havertz for loan with permanent option. With Nkunku coming and another potential No 9 signing, Chelsea could drop their demands for Havertz if negotiations goes into August.

They have like 40 players and wants to sign few more expensive ones. So needs to reduce their squad size and wage bill significantly.

I am seeing the same thing. I don't think Benzema will leave us without a number 9 replacement. He is doing something noble for the club again. It would be a bad season for him next year. I don't know what he would do if we sign Kane this summer.

If that's the plan, we will have to convince Levy to sell Kane before August at least. Levy also didn't sell Bale before he wrapped up Soldado, Eriksen and Lamela deals that summer as he didn't want to get fleeced by selling clubs.

I think Carlo/JAS/Flo somehow think they'll be getting the Leverkusen version of Havertz. He's been average at best for Chelsea. Paying €60mil with a 4-5 year contract on "potential" seems pretty dumb to me.

Plus, I don't see Carlo extracting the best out of him; he'd rather use convenient solutions within his sphere of comfort e.g. Fede, Rodyrgo, Modric or even giving Camavinga new roles.

I’m not sure I buy the Bd’O auto-renewal thing for Benzy. If you’re the player you want a player option for the extra year, not an auto renewal. Pure speculation on my part but I bet he has an option to become a free agent. At the same time I bet Flo convinced him not to leave us out of nowhere in a tough spot.

Failing to succeed at Chelsea is not necessarily a death sentence.

    Context is always our friend.

KdB played 3 league matches in his time at Chelsea. He was barely given a chance. Salah played 13 matches in two seasons at Chelsea and was barely given a chance.

These players never had continuity or a run of matches. They had sporadic use and lacked confidence.

Kai Havertz on the other hand has played 91 league matches in three seasons. He has been given three years and many opportunities to nail his spot and prove himself but he can't. He has the continuity the others didn't and he still doesn't even know if he's a striker or an attacking midfielder.

This stuff if as bewildering as the PoochLove where people want to foist that loser on the club because they had a special preference. I get we all have preferences but let's try to be objective and realistic here. Kai Havertz is a horrible gamble, he would be expensive in transfer and wages and he is not better than any of our current trident.

I have no confidence in Ancelloti unlocking any young players potential.

He has a good build and good technique, but little that makes him effective. He doesn't use his height well enough to score consistently or his skill to create play regularly, he might get unlocked here but that's risky for what he would cost.

    JFD:

    - Real Madrid has decided they need to sign another striker and that only Benz & Joselu are not enough after what happened in recent games, especially against City.

    - Contrary to some reports, Kane doesn't rule out leaving PL especially knowing RM are interested.

    - Havertz was discussed as someone who can start from another position and play between the lines, but he's essential for Pochettino and his transfer is practically impossible.

    - Kane situation is different with only a year left in his contract and no European football for Spurs. Levy hates selling to PL teams after having blocked his move to Utd and City in the past.

    - 100 ME fee talked in England, but truth is no one has made a proposal to Levy yet. Player has to make the first move and talk to Levy.

    - Given RM's fear with recent PL signings, reports on Kane has been very positive about his attitude, work ethic, known to be a team player and of course, a proven scorer.

Karim renewed until 2024 last summer after his fantastic season and it is untrue that BDR win is the reason why his contract was automatically renewed. No such clause exists in football.

The player communicated to Real Madrid the Saudi offer a month ago and has been considering it; the club will not force him to stay if he decides to leave

Dont we all judge mbappe for not turning down 100mil a year for 3 years and insane benefits in his home town? Isnt 200mil a year for 2 years almost the same?

    No it is not.
Benzema has fulfilled footballing side and now has a chance to get a good last pay. Mbappe has achieved nothing in football terms.
Edit. Plus it is not only that. It its more about him being sneaky and practically a backstabber paying the I am leaving game.

Havertz destroyed us a few years ago. I was also impressed until I watched more of Chelsea's games.

He is played out of positions very most of the times. He's there during a very chaotic era that is more like a rollercoaster than a professional lead club. Also he's a proven goalscorer in big games and finals. It's just stupid to believe Havertz isn't effected by the chelsea nonsens. Has he all the tools to play for Real? Sure.. Does he actually fit the current team? I have some question marks as well.

Not only am I not impressed with Havertz, I also struggle to see where he fits in our team. He's definitely not a striker, not quick enough for a winger, and he's played his best football roaming behind the striker, which is a position that doesn't exist in this team's playstyle, and if it did, it should be Rodrygo's. Not feeling it tbh.

Although Benzema's continuity is almost a given, at Real Madrid they are clear about it: Harry Kane is the right man to reinforce the team's attack for the 2023-24 season and the incorporation of the forward as a priority matter, after Bellingham. The interest in Kane is not directly related to the future of Benzema, although it has some influence: in Madrid they are still not aware that the Frenchman is going to leave, he has a contract until 2024 and it is hoped that he will continue in white for at least one more season.

If Karim finally decides to ask to leave later, even in January, to accept the offer from Al Ittihad (200 million net for two seasons), the importance of signing Kane would be even greater, but it is Madrid's hope to bring them both together. They are considered fully compatible, as Cristiano and Benzema were in the past.

The Frenchman has suffered a string of injuries this season, although it is hoped that, once he has left the France team, he will regain the iron health of his previous campaigns. In addition, the decision to go for Kane is at the same time a reaffirmation of the commitment to Ancelotti: the Briton is the forward preferred by the Italian, as AS has already revealed.

The starting price, as this newspaper already reported, is €115M, but Madrid hopes to substantially lower that amount as the summer progresses and Levy feels the pressure from the RM and from the English international himself with contract ending in 2024.
