I agree, they've played some very tight games against LAFC, St Louis and Cincy and are overdue to start some momentum at home...this game makes me a little queasy, like a weak PK, 0-1 loss kind of queasy...Always hope for a W, but I'm thinking this is 1-1 or 0-1 for them.

One positive for us is that the win in Seattle relieved some pressure for us. Finally got a road win, now we’re playing with a little bit of house money.

 

We need a win to maintain pace! This is a winnable game, so we’d better win it.

Our win in Seattle kept us in 5th place in the standings. We did not advance. We need to take wins where we can get them.

Yes but my point is that the pressure would have really been on if we had lost in Seattle, and our confidence waning having coughed up another lead. We’d be something like 7th and losing in CO might have dropped us to at or near the playoff line, and then we come home to play one of the top 2 or 3 teams in MLS.

There’s always pressure to win in MLS and we can talk ourselves into “must win” for any game but the Seattle win relieves a little pressure for us.

 

OK, we got an unexpected win. I see your point. With our confidence high, and a couple of days in Denver to acclimate, we should do well.
