That chicarron looks good, but I personally like chicharron when it's a bit more tender, but not too tender either.
Chicharron is good always mate.. crunchy, tender , smoked, boiled.. it is trully the protein of the gods
not if people don't fry it long enough. and you eat a biteful of oil or pork fat. One thing is older I get I need to cut all the pork fat out. Or I just feel like puking the rest of the day.
I don't get the hate some people have with changua, ... it always seemed delicious to me. But I am a sucker for soups in general Today I lunched lentils with potatoes ,sausage and bacon.. I was happy
Colombians generally love soups for some reason. I hated them when I was younger because they were not filling to me at all and it just felt like I was drinking water I used to like changua a lot until I started getting tummy aches from it. Probably due to the lactose
I hate soup since when I’d go to Cartagena or Barranquilla to visit my family would try to feed me non stop soup on a humid 190 degree day
haha my parents would send me to Palmira for summer breaks and my grandparents were always hell-bent with my 11 year old belly getting completely full with a huge bowl of sancocho by 9:30AM. Only if I finished that monstrosity of flavored water would I be able to have "el seco" ...the prize was always what I wanted....rice and meat.... but I didn't touch soup for the next 25 years. Only thing worse was lunchtime when more soup was again served but this time the prize was some type of boiled or fried red snapper with its 20,000 bones all perfect for choking.
Lets also not throw away our food if it's not finished. It's a major pecado, who has all lived through this?
I do agree with that. It pains me to see full plates left behind because someone ordered too much. It breaks my heart. Unless the food Is tóxic or gone bad you should finish your plate. My parents never had to fight with me on that. I think I like everything. Except for Melons. That Is some watery bullshit. Watermelons for.the win!!!
Colombian parents and grandparents serve you exaggerated amounts of food call you fat or telling you that you are getting fat proceed to get mad if you don’t finish the plate they serve you get offended if you tell them that you are getting fat precisely because they serve you so much
