Coady is far too good for Everton .. he only there as it’s birthplace He’d be better at a decent footballing team
Each to their own, but personally think it’ll be disappointing if both Rice and Kane snub interest from Bayern and Madrid in favour of staying in London. They’ll both win far more at those clubs than they will at Arsenal and Spurs. I feel having a core of players who are serial winners is the next step for us to go to the next level and joining those clubs would provide that for those two.
Mason Mount, keen on joining Manchester United as talks are taking place behind the scenes. No issues on personal terms but deal not advanced yet as there's big gap between clubs 🚨🔴 #MUFC Chelsea keep asking for at least €80m fee for Mount. Deal not imminent, at this stage. pic.twitter.com/5IBIWplTAx— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 1, 2023
Kane will probably never leave spurs if doesn’t leave this summer. Their season next year probably won’t be as bad as this so if he stays he will probably end up renewing his contract by next summer. Rice is just someone who I think likes his comfort zone. Arsenal’s rise this season compared to last season as meant he can justify himself joining them when his first choice Chelsea became maybe too messy for a couple of reasons.
BREAKING: Chelsea have rejected a £30m bid from Brighton to sign Levi Colwill permanently ❌pic.twitter.com/XUSyzBCaQo— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) June 1, 2023 Brighton made a £30m bid for Levi Colwill a few days ago. #CFC want to keep him - he has 2 years left on contract & there is a 12 month option to extend until 2026 - but he will have to play a certain amount of games to trigger it. 🚨Declan Rice to prioritise Premier League move amid interest from Bayern Munich. Arsenal lead the race with an offer around £90m set to go in. Mikel Arteta want club to focus on move for Rice before anything else. Man Utd also interested. https://t.co/2zQ2gI4J62— Sami Mokbel (@SamiMokbel81_DM) June 1, 2023

Sounds like he just doesn’t want to leave London let alone England. He still lives in West London near where he grew up.
I prefer this take. Another mid table team stifling a players career when they want to move to a Top 6 team to play in Europe https://t.co/fzdVrCNgIR— Andy Castell (@AJ3) June 1, 2023
Yeah disappointing but I think more so is that I believe many other English players in his position would do the same. I think we’re the only nation whose players seem to prioritise home comforts over picking the best career option. The reason it irks me is that I genuinely believe it is a factor in why the big nations tend to have an edge over us in the latter stages of tournaments. They have players who play for clubs that win things regularly and are used to the intense pressure of a Madrid, Bayern, Barca where managers get sacked for not winning the league or performing poorly in the CL. Whereas too often our key players are more happy staying in England even if it means compromising their chance to win things and play at the highest level.
Kane has to take the real Madrid opportunity if it arrises. He's England captain. We need winners in that position. Part of me thinks why bottles the big moments is because spurs are never in any big game scenarios. If he takes the easy way out and stays at spurs strip him of the England captaincy. As for rice, bayern should be his priority over arsenal. I thought English players were finally opening up to the idea of playing abroad. Staying in England is the easy way out. As ht said other nations Learn from playing abroad in different styles. France have players all over Europe at the highest level
Yeah that’s fair enough and I can understand why players feel winning one PL is more valuable than winning multiple Bundesliga’s. I just feel though that Arsenal for all their progress this season are a big risk for someone who “wants to win the lot” to quote his own words on the Overlap a year ago. They’ve not won a league in twenty years and have never been able to get over the line in Europe. I guess we just have to hope for the best now.
They do but I guess the lure of not uprooting him and his partner and son to a different country or even a different city is too not something he wants to do.
Paul ince our last World class holding player took the chance on inter Milan and he was a hero there. If rice wants to trundle along and win nothing whilst scrapping for a top 4 finish. Good luck to him. Can't understand why players turn down opportunities to broaden their horizon in a short career whilst winning shed loads of trophies
