Also of interest is that the Jesus Ferreira rumors have started: 🧐 https://t.co/5IjKkmA6sY— 3rd Degree (@3rdDegreeNet) April 28, 2023
I'm sure the "insert European Team Name here" has interest in Kai Wagner "reports" will start coming in soon too........ Of course they have "interest" but no intent of making any real offers......
This is interesting: NYRB have signed one Ronald Donkor, who was initially reported as being a Mali youth international (which is the story on the MLS website) but the stories on the NYRB website later changed his nationality to Ghanaian and removed the bit about him being a Mali youth international. Do they even know who they've signed? Have they signed one Ronald Donkor thinking they were getting a different Ronald Donkor?

Minnesota has reportedly made an offer to former Norwich City striker, 33 year old Teemu Pukki. In order to free up a DP slot, the club is trying to find a buyer for Luis Amarilla. Of note: Amarilla is not among the 18 for the Loons' game this evening at Austin.
With Lod out of the lineup for the Loons, does St. Paul have like a sister-city relationship with Helsinki or something? (I'm assuming Pukki is Finnish).
I would imagine Pukki and Lod have had a few conversations during Finland national team training, yes.
Is Mazatlan in Ecuador? That's where he was rumored to be going in the headline of an article I saw, but did not read a couple of days ago. Amarilla will go down as the player who scored the goal that sent St. Louis City down to its first-ever MLS loss.
Like Jay said, Mexico. Same team that signed Ake Loba on loan from Nashville, so they apparently go bargain hunting for MLS busts. And Pukki would probably be the first smart forward signing that Minnesota has made in a while. Not young anymore (33) but at least has a record of scoring in a league that translates well to MLS.
Final note on all this...because Amarilla was a Green Card holder, the Loons also released Doneil Henry to free up an international roster spot. Editorial comment: Leave it to the Loons to have to get rid of two players to sign one.

Hey, you guys had Kei Kamara. He's had a goal every 171 minutes for the two MLS teams he's played for since he was released by Minnesota. Could be someone else to blame for his (and maybe every other forward's) failings there.....
Once again...it is a sad commentary that after seven years, Minnesota United's best forward remains Minnesota United's first forward. Perhaps that will finally change. Perhaps Scarlett Johansson is going to finally get back to me on that dinner date after all these years.
Not MLS related but has anyone seen that the Saudi government will inject $20B to their league to try and make it a top league? Wonder how long it will last paying those salaries. Ronaldo at $200M and now Benzema at I believe $100M salary. Plus they offered Messi a $400M salary.
Messi to MLS is being reported as a done deal .. Buckle up. This is getting good. #InterMiamicf https://t.co/PbBD5TrllL— herculez gomez (@herculezg) June 6, 2023
Apparently they are signing N'Golo Kante to Al-Ittihad for 100 million euros a year. That is a hilarious amount of money for a 32 year old d-mid that has had multiple injuries (knee, hamstring, and groin) that have kept him basically off the field for a year.
CBS Sports is reporting the Saudi Public Investment Fund is taking over ownership of 4 pro teams in Saudi Arabia. I think the PIF can offer so much money for soccer players, regardless of their age or abilities, in part, because they don't have to worry about funding any women's sports.
Well played, Philly... sad but true.go get your bag, @PhilaUnionPhang pic.twitter.com/f68Z2gm17N— Philadelphia Union (@PhilaUnion) June 6, 2023
