Fair enough point about Tielemans resale value but given the clubs limited buying ability, Xhaka alongside Aouar is a quality midfield pair, as good a lineup as Roma will have had since pjanic days. Tielemans and Aouar doesnt work the same on the pitch. This club needed Xhaka 2 years ago but better late than never. Theres still many seasons in him.

Scamacca is available on loan as Milan is talking?
Get the man home. He was in the stadium when we fight Leverkusen means something?

Fratessi is such a pity on the other hand.
If we can sell Abraham for good money I still try think we must get the boy home as well. We need guys who would blood for the club.

    Imagine

    Matic Tielemans Fratessi
    Aouar Cristante Bove

Pellegrini to play more upfront, man cant link up midfield well.

The only concern with Tielemans is will take to Mourinho's methods? He didn't really take to Rodgers, but Mou's approach these days is softer and might work well with him.

Xhaka could be for Roma what Sneijder was for Inter. He has a lot of quality, but has a hard time expressing it in the EPL. The way Roma play now and the nature of Serie A would suit him perfectly I think.

Xhaka looks to be set for Leverkusen and Tielemans has interest from other money EPL teams so would be massive if he comes to Rome.

I think Rabiot is leaving Juve...

Judging by some of the rumored conflict between Mou and the board, can we expect you guys to be a little more ambitious this summer? I get the FFP, but someone like Asensio could earn big wages in England. He fits the profile of the kind of player a club like Roma should sign IMO. Could you compete for his signature?

With the players being linked the club still look UEL outfit (yes Aouar is good, Tielemans is good but, but). We need to splash the cash but wisely.

What gives me hope is that after so so many sporting directors, managers, head coaches, ownership, the Friedkins and Pinto changed philosophy and loser mentality which was reflected in bringing of Mou and Dybala.

May this potential UCL spot be a real breakthrough in terms of quality and eye-catching transfers.

We'll need CL next season and a couple of sizeable sales (Tammy and Ibanez your most likely candidates here) before we see any kind of significant transfer fee expenditure from us. Without both, or at least one, it'll be more of the same from last summer....free signings only.

Free signings are exactly free either. Agent fees are through the roof with those, as well as increased sign-on fees for the player and his salary expectations. We might be saving a little, but it's pretty close to paying a transfer fee when it's all said and done. I.e. without sufficient resources, even decent free players won't be a vaiable option for our financial situation.

    We're in a bit of a situation.

Qatar just threw a chunk of cash at Zaha. Too bad I think he would have done pretty well in Italy.

Not sure where you go from here. No money. Huge debt. Not much value in the team outside the couple you can’t afford to lose.

May be a young coach like Motta with focus on the the young guys and pray for 5th/6th.

There's a strong spirit and core in the team if we can keep most of it together - renew Smalling and keep Dybala is reliant on Mou staying I reckon.

Sell Ibanez and Tammy for EPL money and reinvest the money for depth and a good foil for Dybala that might actually score goals. We can pretty much redo what we did this season with a better chance at top 4......if Mou stays that is.

Oh no everyone has to go now, even the boot cleaner. Hopefully we get 5 euro and some new towels for him.

Really it’s him or Pellegrini that can bring anything in. Dybala would be a lift on the salary side as well.

A few teams in England way overachieved this season and need to reinforce for Europe now, so likely will see some dumb money being thrown around.

Abraham and Ibanez should be sold first. No doubt.

I keep seeing Ibanez as one we should sell, sure, but is anyone actually interested in him at any sort of decent price? I don't really follow the rumor mill so maybe I have missed something.

Spuds and West Ham. He would be ideally suited to Spuds.

We don't expect him to stay without CL but if he does for the love of the fans,Roma can expect dreaming something big again provided with some squad depth.
