If it were racist chanting, it would have a £620k bonus and the Spanish FA would have made them champions.
https://www.football365.com/news/ru...ayers-in-280m-sale-as-first-casualty-is-named ‘Ruthless’ Pochettino wants to get rid of 15 Chelsea players in £280m sale as ‘first casualty’ is named
And the Daily Mail has listed all the 15 players who could leave this summer: Christian Pulisic (£25m), Mateo Kovacic (£35m), Hakim Ziyech (£15m), N’Golo Kante (free), Kalidou Koulibaly (loan), Edouard Mendy (£25m), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (free), Cesar Azpilicueta (£5m), Callum Hudson-Odoi (£10m), Mason Mount (£75m), Conor Gallagher (£40m), Trevoh Chalobah (£25m), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (£25m), Joao Felix (end of loan) and Denis Zakaria (end of loan). Who is going to pay top dollar at a clearance sale? The chavs are screwed as everybody knows they NEED to sell as they've rung up the greatest losses likely to have been recorded by their purchases lately (dodgy contracts and amortization and all). Pulisic - 20m, a German club Kovacic - 10m, some italian club (I'd love to buy him, but we seem to be going younger) Ziyech - 15m, back to Ajax? Mendy - 10m, an Italian or French club CHO - 15m, Notts Forest Mount - he seems the perfect Pocchetino player, can't see him leaving Gallagher - 25m, Crystal Palace Chalobah - loan, Burnley Azpi - free, Barcelona Koulibaly - free, Inter
You are serious? Just look at every year in the Prem - there are dumb dumb dumb teams. Plus throw in some English tax. They will recoup a surprising amount.
with a squad that size, there must be about 8,923 permutations of a starting 11. and that doesn't count the players they bring in this summer, which they will do (at minimum they need a starting striker and a solid backup). so the immediate challenge for Poch is he has to decide on who's to stay and who's to go, based on observation from a distance and advice from coaches who may have conflicting views on players' strengths and weaknesses. he's never worked with any of those players and has no real idea how versatile they might be, how they'd fit his scheme, or what they're like in the dressing room (their dressing room is a hot mess of conflicting egos and agendas in a good season). and all this with Boehly peering over his shoulder 24/7.
He's already got rid of Jao Felix - who is the one I would keep. Hardly his fault they didn't win the first half dozen games he played....
I remember thinking in the late 90's and early 00's that the Italian clubs were paying ridiculous prices for players and wondering when that bubble would burst. It finally did after a decade. And then the Spanish giants and the PL teams came and started splashing the cash to an ever crazier degree. And we've seen barca blow up, and madrid would be in a similar situation if it weren't for some sweetheart land deals with the government. And now it's a question of when will the PL teams see the shoe drop. Leicester it hit hard. The chavs are going to be facing some stern questions in the coming years. The PL is already going after citeh. Clubs using money to solve problems and be the sole reason players are signing there won't be able to go on forever. Does the market find some equilibrium if citeh is really punished? If the chavs have a summer or two like barca?
Europa League Final - headed to ET with 1-1 score between Roma and Sevilla. wijnaldum - in for Roma Suso in for Sevilla.
There were some really old dudes out there today. Rakitic. Matic. Smalling. Navas. Sevilla!! Hasta la muerte!! The sixth most successful club in European history!! (If you don't include the Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup)
7 Europa Cups for Sevilla. wow. shame Gini didn't get a winner's medal though. and - the first European Final Moaninho has ever lost.
Multiple outlets reporting that Mason Mount has agreed to personal terms with ManUre. He only has one year left on his contract in London. https://fbref.com/en/players/9674002f/Mason-Mount Assume the transfer fee won’t be too ridiculous.

excuse me, I need to throw up ..... Inter Miami have offered Lionel Messi 50m euros per year (£42.9m) to spend four seasons in the MLS after the Argentina forward, 35, leaves Paris St-Germain this summer. Croatia midfielder Luka Modric, 37, has also told Real Madrid he intends to accept an offer of 120m euros (£103m) to play in Saudi Arabia for the next three seasons. (Okdiario via Sport)
someone mentioned a Chelsea sell-off ..... ? Chelsea have turned down a £30m (LMAO) bid from Brighton for 20-year-old English defender Levi Colwill, who has spent the season on loan with the Seagulls.
I hope to god we don't have to play them again. I can't stomach my teams having to play against each other again.
