If it was bad enough to warrant an apology, Judson should be getting support from his teammates and I, for one, am talking about suspensions and “stuff.” Hurrah for Judson. Guy has a pulse. We need players with passion. #whatwoulddayakdo
I have no idea, but I have my personal speculation that his appearance might have been a result of Luchi's former connection with Dallas. In other words, I don't think some assistant coach would say to himself, "Gee, I think I'll just mosey on over to the opposing team's locker room and walk into a heated and frustrated environment and say a few words." I think it might be possible for the Dallas coach, out of respect for Luchi, or maybe after conferring with Luchi, to order the assistant to do so.
Yeah, and maybe Dalla should notify MLS and tell them the assistant was out of line and maybe they should rescind Judson's red. Not holding my breath, though.
Luchi coached at Dallas, but that was a few years ago. Is there any assistant coach there now that was there when Luchi was there? I wonder if we're making too much of Luchi's FCD connection? He probably has more of a connection with the FO than the current coaching staff.
MLS probably doesn't have much sympathy for either team: "The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found FC Dallas and the San Jose Earthquakes in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy after their match on May 27 (VIDEO). Dallas will be issued an official warning for its first violation this season. San Jose has violated the mass confrontation policy for a third time this season, and the organization and head coach Luchi Gonzalez have been fined an undisclosed amount for their actions. Due to their roles in the mass confrontation, San Jose goalkeeper Daniel and forward Benjamin Kikanović and FC Dallas forward Jáder Obrian have each been issued an undisclosed fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation."
Uh, what about Judson, who started it? No fine for him? No fine for his target either, who presumably trigger him?
