Apparently American-born to Ghanaian parents, now with some number of first-team appearances in South Africa's top division for new club Cape Town FC. From his coach Eric Tinkler, who has several dozen South Africa caps and some European playing experience:

American-born Ghanaian teenager Nana Akosah-Bempah made his debut for Cape Town City in their 1-1 draw with SuperSport United in the Premier Soccer League on Friday.

    ...

The young boy (Akosah-Bempah) came on‚ he’s only 18 and he shows huge potential and a lot of aggression.

“He came on and made it difficult for the two big central defenders (Mario Booysen and Clayton Daniels) and I think that pressure paid off.

This seems to be his (little-used) Twitter:

Have not quickly found a site with a birthdate.

Transfermarkt has him with three league appearances:

    This site says two.

    More detail:

Nana Akosah-Bempah was promoted to Black Aces’ [DMN note: his previous club] first team during the 2015/16 season. The teenager was born in the USA to Ghanaian parents but has resided in South Africa for the past decade. He also had a short-term attachment to Manchester City’s youth team and now finds himself a part of the new Cape Town City team.

From April, at the old club:

Akosah-Bempah signed his first team contract last week and was on the bench when Aces overcame Maritzburg United in a Nedbank Cup last 16 match at KaNyamazane Stadium on Saturday.

Information reaching this website is that Akosah-Bempah was born in the United States of America to Ghanaian parents but has been in South Africa for the past 10 years.

Stocky in build, Akosah-Bempah has already made an impression on head coach Muhsin Ertugral.

“Nana reminds a bit like a young Collins Mbesuma,” says Ertugral.

Mbesuma is a Zambian player who was a teammate of Nana's at the time, hence the comparison:

This site suggests that the MCFC connection was to a partner club in Africa:

    Loan:

Cape Town City have loaned Nana Akosah-Bempah to National First Division side Stellenbosch FC with the forward looking to get more game time.

The hulking teenage striker has appeared off the bench on two occasions for the Citizens first team this season and has made an impact for the club's Multichoice Diski Challenge side.

    It was the game-winner:

Cape Town City got their debut in the CAF Confederation Cup off to a successful start with a 1-0 win over Young Buffaloes in a preliminary round, first leg clash at the Somhlolo Stadium in Mbabane, Swaziland, on Saturday afternoon.

    ...

Just when it looked like the game would finish in a goalless stalemate, Ghanaian-American striker Akosah-Bempa pounced to net the winning goal five minutes before the close.

Posts about Swaziland always lead me to fondly recall this DMN duet with @Bill Archer, which was ... really quite something. (How is that more than a decade ago?)

    Snip:

DURBAN - Cape Town City’s youngster Nana Akosah-Bempah says he relishes the opportunity of being coached by Benni McCarthy on a daily basis.

    ...

"Coach McCarthy is very important in my career," Akosah-Bemph said.

“Every day is a new day to learn from him and improve as a striker. He has a first-hand experience of what it takes to go far. It’s really been wonderful to work with him."
