A benefit of Venezia getting relegated is that de Vries could make the first team and build on his familiarity with the club and not have to go to who-knows-where and start from scratch. Plus he's got like four other Yanks to keep him company.
Can't get enough of the thrilled look on his face - the look of a kid who for the first time helped the first team win, on possibly the last chance of the game, no less. Just great to see. Ironically - no one from Venezia was well-positioned to finish that cross, such that the own goal was the best chance of success.
