Diogo Dalot is eligible to play for AC Milan against #MUFC in the Europa League, the club have confirmed— Simon Peach (@SimonPeach) February 26, 2021
Dalot doing his part in keeping the pressure on Inter at the top of the table (as Milan get the 0-2 win at Verona). Superbe but de Diogo Dalot qui double la mise pour l'AC Milan. #MUFC #LoanWatch https://t.co/MqWAH40ydO— Manchester United (@MUnitedFR) March 7, 2021
AC Milan are now planning to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea - there’s option to buy for €28m. 🔴 #CFCFinal decision soon about Diogo Dalot [with #MUFC] and Brahim Diaz [with Real Madrid].Talks ongoing for Çalhanoglu and Donnarumma’s contracts.— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 24, 2021 Wished we wouldn't give up on him, but Ole doesn't appear to rate him so let's hope that Milan will agree to take him off our hands (at a fair price). He seems to have fit pretty well there.
Not a penny less though: more than a fair price for Dalot. For him personally, hope they are willing to pay up but if not, someone else surely will at this price.
I think Dalot returns as our fullback cover and Brandon Williams goes out on loan. Would make sense to me; - we have other priorities than signing fullbacks this summer - our other youth options not ready yet - players around Dalot / Williams ages need some competitive minutes or they stagnate
On Diogo Dalot, told AC Milan asked for him but there was no obligation to buy, so it was rejected. Most likely future won't be decided until later in July/August. OGS likes him - but may also be able to generate money to use in other areas.— Simon Stone (@sistoney67) June 21, 2021
Some turnaround for Diogo Dalot. Wasn’t a year ago that Solskjaer picked Fosu-Mensah ahead of him at Palace and he’s gone on loan to Milan, done well enough for them to want to keep him, got 11th hour call-up to #POR squad and made his national team debut.— Samuel Luckhurst (@samuelluckhurst) June 24, 2021
Weird to me that we don't/didn't rate him. All his metrics say he's got the potential to be a solid RB. He's got some work to do defensively, but of course he does, he's still young and learning.
Diogo Dalot expected to be one of two right-backs at #MUFC this season, following Euros + good pre-season.Kieran Trippier pursuit paused due to Atletico price; looks set to stay that way.#MUFC @TheAthleticUKhttps://t.co/SNEEO6K4hK— Laurie Whitwell (@lauriewhitwell) August 9, 2021 Perfectly fine with this decision. Never have been down on Trips, depending on how much he'd cost us. With Atleti apparently not willing to budge on his fee, it really makes things a lot simpler as far as we are concerned. Dalot performed well enough in preseason: had a horrible moment, which led directly to a goal but until then, he was doing pretty good. Did ok in his short cameo vs Everton as well. For the role we'd need him for as AWB's understudy, there's no reason not to keep him, give him opportunities here and there and see how it goes. If there one more incoming move in store for the club (which is far from certain at this point), it has to be for a CM: of that there is no doubt.
Analysis: Diogo Dalot's standout performance against the London clubs | United Journal (theutdjournal.com) Finally getting opportunities with the first team and he's making the most of it, at the perfect time. Obvious upgrade going forward but defensively, held his own against an in form ESR and Zaha. AWB's work will be cut out for him if Dalot can keep up this vein of form.

Behind the scenes. Borussia Dortmund wanted to sign Diogo Dalot last summer and were planning to try again for January window. 🇵🇹 #BVB…but he wanted to work hard, fight for his place and he’s now key player for Manchester United. Untouchable. pic.twitter.com/73nG0dr1BX— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) January 22, 2022 Proof right there that if you keep your head down, keep on working hard and keep the faith, good things can happen. On Dalot's current form, there is no way AWB gets his place back.
When things are going well he's pretty complete fullback. He has good athleticism. Good size, good feet and an idea. When he's struggled, it's not because he can't do, its more his focus or immaturity. I never pegged him to play as well as he has this season, but its still very early.

Interesting move. Dalot has never impressed me much. He’s not bad, but to me he hasn’t shown that he has the quality to start for a team that has title aspirations outside of a small patch of good form early this season. Still, he’s not a bad option so hopefully he kicks on and takes a step forward next season. This either means AWB is on the market or we’re dropping interest in Frimpong for the time being.
