Quite honestly, I don’t think he cares much about that record, at least not as much as winning titles which ain’t happening at Tottenham.

I think signing kane would be a mistake, but I agree its the only forward option that exites me. And its bs that madrid plan was to go all in for haaland and mbappe next year. They could sign an extension today and RM know this. There just doeant seem to be options so .adrid wanted to hold on to benzema for as long as posible. Thats IMHO

Benz is on decline, if we can sign Kane that would be about as soft a landing as we could hope for.

If Benz leaves, then there aren't many realistic options on the market. In fact, Kane is by far the best one. I know we all would love Haaland or even Mbappe, but a club can't gamble on their availability. We've done that already and have seen where that has gotten us so far. I'd rather go for safe and Kane is, like you said, a soft landing. It is what it is!

    Feel very conflicted.

On one hand you don't want Benzema to end like this and believe he has a little more in the tank. We could legitimately work next season with a Firminho.

On the other hand there is no way he makes a second season so we will need to make a change and the more time we kick that can of responsibility down the road the worse things (and our options) could be than they are right now.

The perfect scenario would be keeping Benzema another year and Kane coming to Madrid on a four year contract next season (he will be 30 turning 31). That isn't our reality though.

So the best thing probably would be for us to take the pain of change now. The issue is who should we move for? Would hate to miss out like we did on Halaand if Oshimen is another machine. Would hate to miss out on Jackson or Munani as well.. yet Kane is a known quality but fear he could break down after so many years of consistent hard work.

Really a vulnerable place we have found ourselves in.......

Which makes me even more pissed Levy didn't just sell City Kane in the first place which would have made us Halaand's only destination. We would have been SET.

Yeah, we are in a fairly vulnerable position if Benzema leaves. However, I think Benzema has showed amazing loyalty towards the club, sacrificed years of his career to play second fiddle to Ronaldo, and earned his value for the club. A proper club legend. Whatever he does, I am fine. He never seemed like a guy that would stay at Real Madrid, if he significantly declined. In fact, I believe he even said that he didn't want to become a burden to the club. All in all, it will be a difficult period, but this is where these highly paid directors are there for. This is when they are supposed to show their value. I'm curious to see what they come up with!

See report that HK doesn’t want a move abroad and only want to stay in the UK. He only left 48 goals to break the record of Alan Shearer
Benz leaving is 100%. Otherwise he would allready said that he stay.
    We must sign asap:
    ST
    RW (Asensio replacement)
    RB/LB

Hm, yeah, but it's up for the discussion. If MU have offer for him good financally, probably he would choose it. If he will stay in PL, he will definetely alo become PL all time goalscorer.

Benz has earned the right to go. And if he does leave, much better it happens in May than July or even August. We have plenty of time to respond with some moves.

Kane is obviously the best option to replace Benz.

If Kane isn't possible, might be time to look at the next generation (beyond Haaland, Mbappe, Kane, Benz, Lewa and Salah).

The other names being mentioned don't move me at all: Lautaro, Firmino etc.... Looks like we already have our backup 9 in Joselu, so we should get someone much more impactful as our starting 9....AND get a RW.

I think Kolo Muani + Diaby would be really nice moves (BOTH) that solve a lot of problems.

Wouldn't be wise to do any planning with Mbappe and Haaland in mind. Let's get the best available now.

Vini + Rodrygo + K Muani + Joselu + Diaby ....nice weapons right there with the right coaching.

If only our players were also willing to accommodate the club's never ending plan of signing Mbappe and Haaland "next year". This is just bad planning. Kane is a great striker and I would be pretty happy with him as the signing as long as the finances are along the line of what @Zidane05 says, but if we were not so fixated on Mbappe and Haaland we could have a much smoother transition. Bellingham was a part of the plan, but now its going to be scramble mode again.

Osimhen's injury history. A bit concerning for a 24 year old even after taking out couple of Covid related absence. I reckon Bale had a similar list while at Spurs. 20230531_154354.jpg

Take out the cheekbone fracture and its a pretty normal list. He doesn't have any structural issues. Hes the best option out there without a doubt and better than Kane. But him and Bellingham in one window could be financially iresponsible. If we only got him last year...

You guys are discussing Kane vs Osimhen while the club might settle for Firmino as Benzema's replacement

    Because

The damage that Mbappe has done to this club is immeasurable.

As I said before, i'm afraid that's willl happen for sure. Mbappe or nothing.. they won't bid 100 mln for Kane, especially when they just did that amount with Bellingham.

Barca going to win hat-trick of La Ligas then. Socios might have to start thinking about no confidence motion if this is management's attitude. Shameless and delusional about Mbapay.

Put 250-300 on the table for Mbappe. I know, I know, Qatar probably still won’t budge. But we have to try if Benzema leaves

Hope we put it today and PSG will reject that tomorrow and that craving of Mbappe this summer folks will end. But if Flo and JAS will punt till 2025 for Mbappe or Haaland, we are set for 2003-06 era but with shit strikers instead of watching R9, Owen etc.
