Maybe, but Munich got rid of him because of his off-the-field actions, such as leaving his wife and entering a relationship with a local reporter from tabloid newspaper Bild, and then leaking information to her about the behind the scenes stuff at the club. Nagelsmann fell out with the director at the club and the goalkeeper and a lot of the players found him to be very "shouty" HE WAS ALWAYS SHOUTING AT THEM AND THEY DIDNT LIKE IT apparently.

    Is it 'finally' official?

it is not "official" and we could even even wait until the end of the season until it's made official to the public, but it is happening, the deal has been struck. Pochettino is is expected to sign a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge and his services have been secured – and that is still the case.

I can't feel 'settled' until I hear its officially announced! The way this seasons gone it could be the last 'spanner in the works' for the season!

    https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...tract-to-become-chelsea-head-coach-until-2026

His backroom staff will include his No 2, Jesús Pérez, his first-team coach, Miguel D’Agostino, his goalkeeping coach, Toni Jiménez, and his son Sebastiano, a sports scientist.

Pochettino replaces that ass-clown Graham Potter.

Pochettino begins his new role on 1 July 2023 on a two-year contract, with an option of a further year.

Welcome Mauricio, I wish him all the best of luck, most important thing first - is he bringing in his own medical team? We can't afford our best players missing most of next season. I have a feeling that Poch is going to install a bit of much needed discipline back into the squad, I reckon he knows who he wants and is going to tell the deadwood to get tae f*ck. He has a LOT of work to do but I am hopeful, and do believe, that given a bit of time he will get a MUCH better tune out of this club. Of course we don't know but I reckon top 6 under him next year, perhaps top 4 is too far though. Here's hoping though that he can revolutionise us the way Conte did.

You just need to clear out some deadwood defenders and somehow buy a goal scorer ( or two )

Still think Aubameyang can play a part

Two years, plus a one year extension. How/why did Potter get a 5 year contract? I mean, Potter was really handed everything on a plate and all he had to do was NOT be totally and absolutely sh1t and he would still have the job. IF he had "managed" to get his win percentage in the 40% range he would still be with us. Alas, he was unable to reach those dizzying heights.

Pochettino has arrived and the mass clear out of players begins. Massive pre-season for us with lots of fitness training. With the young players and squad we currently have being properly managed we should be able to realistically mange a top 6 next season.

Stop blaming everything on Potter! Fact is we were more sh*te without him! Why give Poch 5 years when you will be screaming for his head by the end of October!?

Stop blaming the man responsible for our biggest fcuck up in 30+ years? Ok. We shall just leave logic, facts, evidence and reason out of the debate . . .gotcha.

Thankfully after the Potter fiasco the Chelsea hierarchy are determined to follow a more measured process this time around. Multiple players in the squad have said that Pochettino's appointment has been greeted positively, not least because of the clarity it will bring this summer. Potter's tenure was confusing at best and the overall fitness of the squad was terrible.

I have my reservations about Poch, but here's hoping he gets us some success.

Building the squad: There are 31 first-team players, plus eight players out on loan including. Pochettino must quickly identify the players he wants while creating a sense of identity to give Chelsea some structure. From identity we will maybe develop a playing style. Many Chelsea fans have reservations about Poch but i think he will 'steady the ship' and bring in a level of fitness that has been lacking.

I think we'll see less injuries with a proper manager that conditions/trains the players accordingly.

If it was his fault then why were we 10 times worse after he lieft!! Sacking him made us worse and that is a statistical fact, we would have been better off keeping him!

After losing to Madrid the players had zero motivation. Frank even admitted to this and saw it in training.

You blindly defend Potter and it's getting old.

I don't think he is at all (only as it appears with SBL's context). The fact that players gave up should be enough of a reason to dock them 6 month pay at the minimum.

The players gave up because the man leading them was not a leader. We even tried hiring a motivational coach at one point. How ridiculous is that? Motivating the players is literally in the managers job description. The players gave up because the man leading them was an incompetent ass clown by the name of Graham Potter. Yes, of course the players are accountable, dock their wages for sure, but the greater accountability is with the fcuking idiot in charge.

    Graham Potter
    Games: 22
    Win rate: 31.8%
    Points per game (PPG): 1.27

The fact is Potter was the worst Chelsea manager in 30 years.
    End of an error.

Delusional thinking!? I'm quoting FACTS, once Potter was excused from his duties we got WORSE! A LOT worse! That's not 'delusional' that's a fact, we were second worst in the whole division under Lampard! ONE win in 12, the win percentage there is LESS THAN 10%. So the stats show that the win percentage after Potter WOULD HAVE GOTTEN US RELEGATED! I think we should thank Potter for keeping us up!

Were you one of those people that promised us Potter was the issue and that we would go flying up the league without him? Because the reality, yes reality NOT delusional thinking, was that we sank lower and lower.

Lampard is statistically the worst Chelsea manager for 30 years HOWEVER personally I don't blame Lampard............blaming the manager is a sh*te thing to do and sacking managers is usually just a way of sweeping the real problems under the carpet!

    Okay. lol.

Delusional Thinking in its purest form.

Potter has been fired. [Frank wasn't fired - because he was an interim manager and he had inherited a complete fcuking mess from Potter and everybody knows that ]. We have been over this many many times now and logic and reasoning are clearly not your strong points. There is nothing more to say.

Were we better when Potter was there or after he left? We know the answer here, if Potter was the problem then we would have gotten better that's a fact, when bad managers are replaced teams improve they don't get worse! A LOT worse too! It is also a fact that if we'd had the results we have gotten under Frank all season we WOULD have been relegated:-
