I am more a water guy myself... never needed anything else ... on the gym of course, on weekends is whisky
whisky or whiskay? I learned there is a difference That said, I think the only extended service I would use in a gym is the sauna, and if they have a swimming pool or basketball court I would be down to use as well. As for racketball, I never played but it looks fun.
I was out of town for a bit so haven't rly worked out in several days and also did not eat great so I feel like i've gained some weight as a result. today I return to the gym and get back to the grind in all aspects
Both whisky and whiskey are correct. Usually whisky is from Scotland, whiskey from Ireland (that was a Way to differentiate them) and in the US it can be both.
so I was already able to lose the weight I gained lol. im trying to see how im going to transition into eating at maintenance/surplus. I seem to get full fairly easy now so its going to be a struggle to eat so much food now. Im not giving up on the deficit just yet though, im going to try to get to 130lbs and if still theres no abs then ill call it quits. i've been able to see my obliques a few times so I have a feeling im rather close
136 according to yesterday fortunately, as far as weight lifting goes. I have not lost much strength if any, strangely enough
@J-Mezzy how strict are you with ur food? do you calculate specifically how much protein you take in?
Hey brother Not to a T I take my protein shakes but as far as food, I just ensure I get a healthy amount on each meal. Lot of egg whites in the am When I order food, I get double portions of protein. but. I don’t count the amount but I am strict in the routine though
would you say you have protein in every meal you eat? and what about carbs? do you eat more protein than carbs per meal on avg?
while I don't count nor measure carbs/protein, my understanding is that is better (on a general basis) to eat more protein than carbs. specially if you work out. I do eat whatever is in front of me but I try to reduce the carb intake at least during the week. On weekends I eat everything.
how's your situation going? have to say im struggling a bit to continue the grind and am tempted to go back to at least eating at maintenance again. i've already shunned out the daily cardio and gone back to only weightlifting. Again, ive never dropped in weight with anything and I have instead increased my weight.
Mate you are doing excellent!!!. Your weight gain is probably muscle gain and that is good. I think the trick in this (for me at least) is having a routine (food/workout/other activities) that you can maintain long term. Otherwise you can burnout hard and it is really hard to get back into rythm. So do what you feel is giving you your desired results, without rushing it. Myself I am happy with 3 well done workouts a week and eating well during the week and cheat weekends. But that is me, I don't expect to have a six pack nor be swole. I just want to be active while gaining some muscle mass and strenght. For you it might be different but do it the way you don't feel the burnout because it is hard to get back from that. You just have to find your rythm. I know that it is not something clear (objective wise) but i am also not an expert, sorry for that. It is my humble opinion as a professional alcoholic that do like to workout from time to time.
@Doogs bro you are grinding and you should be happy only thing I would say, and I could be wrong, try to focus and stick to it seems like you change things up back and forth quickly and not give the process enough time.
More protein than carbs for sure minor diet changes and training changes here and there but I’m mostly sticking to the process and it works long term
