Czichos, Teran, Omsberg and Pineda should be enough to handle the duties.

FWIW, transfermarkt shows Souquet has some CB experience

Agree, just need to have adjustments for the other team’s adjustments. To use the NER game announcer’s terminology ‘the Fire bossed NER for 30min’…and then Arena made changes, we stopped attacking and they ‘bossed us around’ the rest of the game.

Agree! Even if only used for specific matches or when player rotation is desirable, ability to use an additional formation is valuable.

They bossed us the last 10 minutes of the first half and that was without Bruce making any change, we started to play deeper and less aggressive. It happens, games have flows.

Not sure if their announcer is an un-biased observer.

Teran still injured last I heard. Is Omsberg fully recovered? Not convinced Pineda as backup for both CB and DM is sufficent depth, Need 3 healthy starters plus capable backup at CB and Navarro,Gimenez plus Pineda at DM, in my opinion.

If Souquet is a capable CB backup, that puts even more pressure on Burks to produce.

Per MIR- Pineda and Kacper did not train today. Not a good sign. Teran and Dean still out.

Of course we need better depth but for the time being we have the squad we have and can play these formations until someone gets hurt. At that point we would have fewer formations at our disposal.

Teran and Pineda did not train today so 3 CB may be tough. Looking back, it seems like we are usually scrambling to field 2 heathy, capable CBS, not to mention 3.

Well, adding "capable" is just unfair.

Complimentary article about the Fire locker room atmosphere in MIR. Good to hear! Lots of chatter about the Toronto locker room right now. Big difference between the two. Positive vibes between Gutierrez and Shaqiri and the coaching staff and the team in general makes matches more enjoyable for the players and produces better results. No big secret, just thought it was timely fact.

Considering a multitude of factors- including performances in the last match, an away match at a high-table club, US Open Cup next match, injuries and others we are unaware of, the lineup for next match should be interesting. Any guesses?

What is Frank's PPG this year? Curious to see if he's above or below his historical avg as a Fire coach.

It appears to be 1.5. 18 points in 12 games, not including the USOC.

Right on top of his historical record if I recall correctly.
