What's up with Wolfsburg's new shirt sponsor? It's no longer Volkswagen?

Fair enough, it was definitely a bit confusing.

Why is it you reckon that Wolfsburg is letting her go? Or is it Bremer herself who wants to leave to find more playing time?

As far as I know, Bremer herself confirmed that she was leaving the team.

As they should lol... Potsdam were relegated from the league with a side still featuring numerous international players, with us all having seen the club finish in 4th place only one season prior...o_O

Compare the 2017-18 USV Jena, to this seasons Potsdam, it's genuinely spectacular to see how far the fall has been for one of Germany's most successful women's clubs.

LOL... but that's not exactly fair, when we also still have a reality where people outside of Germany will follow women's football, and genuinely believe Bayern, not Wolfsburg, the long standing force of the nation...

I'm not going to blame a squad of Bayern's male players for not knowing all the stars on the women's team, when I've seen commentators of UWCL games unable to tell the difference between Lohmann, Bühl, and Schüller...:giggle:

I think Wolfsburg would like to keep her, but they'll be 100% aware how ridiculous it would be to expect a mature forward with Bremer's ability, to remain happy only being at best a 3rd choice striker.

    Mandy Islacker finished her career.

Not all of the women players have in their résumé a goal that decided a Champions' League's final. :ninja: Great player and great career. :notworthy:

I feel like Potsdam will likely remain a weird exception for years to come in terms of one of the most successful women's clubs to be relegated.

Not almost all, about 6 of them for now but their timing was weird and they could have waited AFTER the Bayern game to announce they were leaving. Then maybe Potsdam wouldn't have lost 11-1.

Also there will not be many players with 17 years 1.Bundesliga.

Talking about 1.Bundesliga: Nürnberg and Gütersloh both lead 1:0 at HT.

By the way, by rewatching the action of that famous winner-goal, I had to recognize what a heck of a team that Frankfurt side that won their last Champions' League was: apart from Islacker, they were sporting the likes of Dzsenifer Marozsán, Kerstin Garefrekes (end of career, but always a world-beater), Célia Šašić (born Okoyino da Mbabi), Vero Boquete, Svenja Huth, Kozue Ando... you name it! And I am only talking about the ones I noticed during that action and the celebrations of the goal! :x3:

    Freiburg II - Sand 0:0
    Gütersloh - Frankfurt II 2:0
    Potsdam II - Leipzig 2:5
    Jena - Wolfsburg II 2:2
    Nürnberg - Hoffenheim II 3:0
    Ingolstadt - Bayern II 0:3
    Andernach - Köln II 6:1

After 23 years Nürnberg is back in the 1.Bundesliga. It's so long ago that they will met no club they had played in 1999/2000 (if we exclude FCR Duisburg 55, 1.FFC Frankfurt, Grün-Weiß Brauweiler and WSV Wolfsburg which play under different name now).

Noa Selimhodzic has extended her contract with Turbine Potsdam, becoming the first player to do so since the club were relegated.

Eintracht Frankfurt III also saved themselves from relegation from the Regionalliga. ^^

    going with highlights;
Potsdam could have been competitive if only they didn’t give away any free kicks & corners! lol

BL/BR; nice to see at least one Dutch player(Bajings) looking good these days-aw I fear they’ll be otherwise an disaster at the WC if they start that atrocious defense of Wilms & Jansen! BL’s Dutch manager might be up for coach of the year

HOF/DUI probably HOF should have scored more but still dominated. Kossler’s pivot style kinda reminds me of Jokic(if you’re into basketball, lol). Linder once again on Elfen’s weekly all-star squad, possible long shot for WC roster(if any injuries occur)/Krumbiegel out of consideration since she’s hasn’t even been rostered for HOF over the last few weeks(so probably out in injury)

KO/ES the speediest goal I’ve ever seen out of Mandy, why retire now! lol. Will miss her ultra attractive, looks—still on par with Gwinn, Jule, Melly & Steinert(Freiburg)

WOB/FR all 3 goals seemed questionable; both direct goals looked offside/Felde’s shoulder to shoulder block should have been legal with possible the crafty Popp taking a dive. Minge played really well, clearing a lot of balls out of the danger zone(but that’s NOT what MVT wants, lol)

And it should be noted, this talented Frankfurt side would only finish 3rd during the league season too...o_O

You can't even Imagine the league (now in a much healthier position) currently having a 3rd place team capable of truly competing in the UWCL lol.

Well... yeah lol. FFC Frankfurt already successfully completed their merger with Eintracht Frankfurt, and the old Duisburg already disappeared on the back of finding themselves banished to 2.Bundesliga.

The last of the old guard was Potsdam, and missing/not accepting their opportunity to merge with Hertha Berlin, it almost instantly saw them fall towards relegation... crazy...:speechless:

This just describes Potsdam's season lol... starting with them recruiting a completely different group of players where many of them were new to the league, forcing me to actually make the prediction they'd eventually be relegated...:coffee:; Potsdam never had a strong enough spine to put themselves in a real position to compete.

So it shouldn't be surprising to anyone, they'd not only become the first side to be relegated team in the league, but see this complete lack of a spine allow them to also reach even more ridiculous low's on the final day of the season, where they'd crumble facing the new champions.

LOL... so bad on the day, they made a very offensively ordinary Bayern appear to be one of Europe's elite lol.
