Sure, and seeing how difficult is for the EU to deal with the small ass Hungary, they will have a very hard time having to deal with a Hungary style USA. You mofos are not ready for that.
Ukraine attacked a Russian ship with at least 2, possibly 3, boat drones yesterday. Russia published a video of one of the drones being destroyed, Ukraine published a video of one of the drones getting right next to the ship before the video feed is cut. A new video has been released showing the moment a Ukrainian naval drone impacts the Ivan Khurs. The damage sustained by the Russian ship is unknown. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have destroyed all the drones. https://t.co/vPLRZa0lUc pic.twitter.com/Sk3Zlf2gcH— Benjamin Pittet (@COUPSURE) May 25, 2023
Thanks Obama! Senator McCain knew back in 2015 what Putin was intended to do in Ukraine but nobody listened to him. https://t.co/crr4H5ryGB— Denis Kazakiewicz (@Den_2042) May 24, 2023
I'm not sure it is fair to say nobody listened to him.. There's a reason why the US started training Ukrainian troops in Western tactics and, then, ultimately, we started to arm them. It's entirely fair to say if there had been a stronger response by the West to the 2014 invasion, it may have prevented the 2022 escalation, but Ukraine wasn't ready in 2014 to fight off Russia. They needed that 8 years to completely reform their military to more Western strategy and tactics from Soviet era...
Kinzahl’s are underwhelming and overhyped. F-16s and ATACMs now! https://mwi.usma.edu/hypersonic-hype-russias-kinzhal-missiles-and-the-lessons-for-air-defense/
I think it was more about the gop, and how they had bullshat the world into Gulf War II: Electric Boogaloo, and thereafter, no one wanted to hear their bullshit. Later, when there was a real threat to peace in Ukraine, the rest of us saw them as the assholes who cried "wolf," and so many of us didn't want to hear what we assumed was bullshit.
One of the most hilarious things about the MAGA insanity (and there are admittedly a lot of things to choose from) is how these nutters have turned to Hungary as their idealized state. So America, one of the global superpowers should try to be more like Hungary, which has a GDP that is less of one third of Belgium's.
Video of the Ivan Hurs steaming into Sevastopol undamaged has appeared. The pro-Ukrainian OSINT community is tearing itself apart with part saying the video is legitimate unless new evidence is found, while another part claiming it is false. A 🧵1/9Pro-Ukrainian channel Crimean Wind, which also posted this video almost 9 hours ago and has been posting all day long this is "real" and this is "fake" on pics and videos - is saying Ivan Khurs is back in port https://t.co/TNECoXizkJ— Malcontent News (@MalcontentmentT) May 26, 2023
F16 training starts this summer with 10 pilots in the Netherlands. Sources tell the flying part is the easy part, that will be quick, the mastering of the weapons systems is a different story.
They did the same with the Moskva. They showed footage of the alive crew of Moskva after it was hit. That being said I 100% believe the ship has not sunk but 2 things still linger so I don't think the ship is ok 1. Forte10 looking very hard at it and 2. The fact that Russia says its mission is over. If we don't see the Ivan Khurs again this war it means something happened Plus you know its the fact another identical ship exists
You're not, but then Putin (and Shoigou and Gerasimov, and . . .) aren't either, which is why we are where we are. The Baltics don't have much in the way of armies, just light infantry, but they have UK and French armoured battalions on rotation. Britain has 1,700 troops at any one time in Estonia and another 1,300 on standby with their equipment forward-deployed in Germany. That's a full brigade, and they also allocate one of their aircraft carriers to NATO eastern flank duty on a permanent basis. Meanwhile, the Germans have about 3,500 allocated to Lithuania, though most of them are to be based in Germany. On top of which, Finland joining NATO has lead to intensified military cooperation between those two. That's off the top of my head so, contrary to @Yoshou , there's enough military force to be a heck of a lot more than a "speed bump" for the Russians. And you're absolutely right about satellite surveillance giving ample time to build up forces to counter Russian moves. That's backed up by CIA, MI6 and DGSE (French) penetration of the Russian general staff and the Kremlin, as well as by NSA and GCHQ signals intercepts. There'd be plenty of warning and the Russians know it. But warnings have to be heeded. And acted on.
The Ivan Khurs steaming into Sevastopol isn't terribly interesting. What will be interesting is whether, when and under what circumstances it steams out again.
Hamas’s conditions for peace are the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital along the lines of the 4th of June 1967, with the return of refugees and the displaced to their homes from which they were expelled.
Top Ukrainian officials are briefing that the start of the offensive is "imminent" and other words to that effect. This means that the offensive started weeks ago. Or it means that it's weeks away. Maybe both. SOP of course and the Russians will be well aware of that. An awareness that will reduce the jangling of their nerves not one iota.
Ukraine claims a 100% hit rate with Storm Shadows. ⚡Reznikov reports 100% hit rate for new British-made cruise missiles used by Ukraine.Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov that of all the long-range cruise missiles Storm Shadow launched by the Ukrainian military to date have hit their targets.— The Kyiv Independent (@KyivIndependent) May 28, 2023 Mariupol reportedly got multiple hits today and there wasn’t any Russian air defense response. Video from Mariupol. OHHHH BOOOY is this video spicey. pic.twitter.com/M9PJwzJntm— Andrew Perpetua (@AndrewPerpetua) May 28, 2023 Also, Storm Shadows can have delayed detonations, so there have been hits to the below ground tunnels at Azovstal that Russians have been using for troop barracks and ammo storage. No images of the damage caused, but Russian telegram has been posting videos and images if rescue attempts. This would seem to indicate something happened.
Depressing that Ukraine now has to destroy their own factories and bridges and rail yards because the Russians are using them since capture.
