Are we trying to relive the real Madrid game?

Henderson with a dreadful pass. 4-2. This a really poor way to end the season.

If anybody thinks, on the back of the last seven or do matches, Henderson and Fabinho are fit to start for Liverpool they haven’t watched enough of us this season. I know Kelleher was a bit dodgy for two the goals but, my word, how easily did we let them waltz through or needlessly pass the ball to them m

The first thing I'd do tomorrow if I were Klopp is to sell Fabinho. His effort on that goal was disgusting! I would be pissed if he was on my Sunday team and for the money they get paid if you can't put in an effort, you have to go.

It’s probably not worth reading too much into what happened in that match. But I thought it was weird that Gomez was picked in the Van Dijk position and Matip in the Konate role. Given that Gomez has a lot of pace and experience playing at right back, I would have thought that the right sided role would be where his future lies.

Do any of today’s starting back 3 have a future with Liverpool. They have all been pretty dreadful this season. With Konate injury prone and Virgil getting older, how many defenders do we need this summer?

Gomez played a bit at LB when he first joined whereas Matip has only ever played RCB?

If we were to play 3 CBs it wouldn't be the worst thing if:

    Konate ... VvD ... Gomez

    Lots of pace.

I would have liked to see that too, but Klopp has yet to do that. In the left side role it has only been Robertson, Tsmikas, and even Milner finished the match in that role. So far Klopp seems pretty committed to having an actual left back in that role.

Fitting epitaph of our season... A bright start, rapidly fouled up with some questionable midfield decisions. Eventually leading to an extended period where we look like we have forgotten how to play together, only to suck it up and get ourselves back into things. Only to end it all in a tie (an utterly frustrating, and unrewarding result)...

I wouldn't go that far. But I think he needs to become a fill-in player, not the main DM. Get that guy from Southampton. Fine player.

City have some kind of buyback clause, but not sure how that affects after he is sold-on?

Nothing wrong with it at all, really. 3 very good defenders.

Not on those wages— he either starts or is moved on. I’d have gone as far as Henderson himself as well but I can just about get the sentimental part of having him around the dressing room.

Hendo can stay as long as he warms the bench and becomes Millie Jr. But Fabinho & Thiago need to be moved out. VVD too. Heads must roll to pay for this sorry season or else we'll be repeating it all over again next season.

It's just a great relief to see the end of this season, very few high points and many very low ones. Now the hope really kicks in that ownership, whoever it is, will really come to the table with serious resources to start the rebuild. Holy f*ck this season has been a brutal ordeal.

VVD didn't have his best season but a lot came down to the poor midfield. The goals today were the result of give aways in the midfield or nobody in the midfield. Same thing happened when we had all the injuries to our cb. Once we moved fabinho back, there was no one to cut out balls and protect the back line. The midfield is the key to our defense and attack which is why we need to get it right this summer.

    VVD out? what effing nonsense.

get rid of a player as soon as they have a sub-par season. yeah, that'll teach 'em!!

another "football is a game best played on a computer" opinion.
