Sounds like his time on the pitch was eventful:

Musah (Valencia), suspended for the next matchday due to accumulation of yellow cards

They won 1-0 in the 108th or so.

Vinicius waited until 90+7’ to earn a straight red. Not sure how long Vini’s ban will be, but Musah should hit him up and break training this week. Vinicius looks like he’d be a fun guy to party with.

Valencia is absolutely humiliating itself over the last 24 hours. Let's hope that Musah escapes from there this summer.

Yeah... He has likely been racially abused by his own fans as well. Perhaps that is part of the reason he has under-performed recently. I have to assume he wants out of there. <fingers-crossed> that it comes to fruition.

Latin countries in general, from Greece to Portugal and from Mexico to Chile, have a HUGE problem with denying they're deeply infected with racism. As in, HUGE. They will swear up and down that it does not exist, that is an Anglo or Northern Euro thing.

I agree in general based on my travels, living and interaction. Valencia itself is deeply rooted in many of the old ways. Some good, others not at all as we can see.

I used to laugh at my friends, and even family overseas when I lived here. Their stereotypes of the US were just as ridiculous as many of ours.
As lectures were given about the horrors of the US I would point out how the US essentially subsidized their way of life. Easy to be aloof and smug when you have protected borders, someone else was paying your military costs, and you had very little immigration. The Europe that was preached about 10-15 years ago here doesn‘t exist anymore, but people get stuck in a certain way of thinking and a time period and just hold on.

It‘s like evaluating a player based on 30 seconds of clips. There is always so much more going on. As creatures we are very comfortable making decisions on very little.

It was commented on earlier that he probably really needs the rest.

And Vinny Jr.'s red was rescinded. The VAR also was removed for failing to show the referee the play preceding leading to Vinny's red card during which several fouls were committed on him.

BTW this is a must-win for Espanyol if they want to have a chance to avoid relegation. They have US-born Luca Koleosho on the bench.

Valencia apparently content with a loss, down 1-2 at 50’ but still no Musah 20’ later.

    Tell Musah it’s Jim Brown time, sub him in and have him carry the ball to pay dirt. {Maybe first take a moment to explain who Jim Brown is.}

Musah active in the last couple minutes. He went over to the ball boy to grab a game ball for himself. LOL

He's following the Dest route, moved around trying to find a position for him until he gets benched for good. Not good.

it really wasn’t. A tie next week guarantees safety since Valladolid play Getafe. But if Valladolid, Celta or Almere’s lose they are safe regardless

His rep there in this last few months has taken a sharp, sharp drop overall.

At least Dest and Yunas are Euro products so we don‘t have to hear constant negatives about the US system and players.

At this point Valenica surviving depends more on Getafe taking a point from Real Val. Getafe not safe so they need a point which is good news. Valencia are simply a FN mess on and off the field. Painful.

There are two other teams above the relegation zone but below Valencia, and one of them (Celta Vigo) play Barcelona today. So I would think Valencia are in pretty good shape?

Elche and Espanyol can’t catch Valencia. Valladolid are at Getafe. Valladolid are at 39 points with a -30 GD. Getafe are at 41 points with a -11 GD. Valencia have 41 points but -3 GD. A tie between Valladolid and Getafe means Valladolid are a point below Valencia no matter what Valencia does today. A Valladolid win puts them at 42 but leaves Getafe at 41 but a GD of -12 at best. A Getafe win means Valladolid are below Valencia. So unless Valencia lose by 9 or more they are safe. No?
