Salah should not be there. He has had one of those seasons where he plays underpar but somehow gets a goal or assist. Also Zinchenko? Clearly the best LB has been either Shaw or Estupinan.

What I like is that it is not flukey. It is there to be built so we can turn half the draws into wins and half the losses into draws.

Excited for ten hag even if I am not happy about the ownership/ sale issue

Its his first season and done well. We got streaky Rashford which helped us to CL football. We were effectively without a striker after Ronaldo departure. Garnacho has been real positive this season.

Given his production, I'd say we were without a striker when we HAD Ronaldo.

the season was decent. nothing more.

i still maintain we are not defensively good and there is enough evidence of that.

if the first and second half of the season bappened in reverse order i'd feel better.

we saw a glimpse of something special in the first fifteen minutes of the 3-1 Arsenal and i had hoped to see more glimpses of it but that never materialised. in fact we moved away from ten Hag's philosophy towards the end with very few positives.

season ended in a whimper. players lacked effort and desire. not surprising. quite a few of these players have failed multiple managers now as far back as José.

not optimistic about recruitment but marginally hopeful for next season

I think i juries our lck of depth and limited rotation hurt us. We have half the depth of city but played almost as many games. That is insane.

Yeah city have insane depth, today they had Foden Mahrez Alvarez on bench and add Phillips and Ake to that. We need years of right recruitment to have that depth in squad.

We've improved a lot but we also need to take into account how poor the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea were for large parts this season. They might not be as poor next season and the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal will only improve as well. Now is not the time to stand still but to keep turning over and improving the squad.

Our team lacks fight, look at the trouncings by Liverpool and CIty during the year and even today. It's a bloody FA Cup final and not 1 player steps up to stick it to the likes of Gundogan and Grealish. They have such a weak mentality and leadership and that's one thing I hope ETH is able to improve going forward.

To be fair they were also 100% injury free while we had the likes of Martinez and Antony out. Plus Martial, vdB and Sabitzer.

Some very good points here. My one disappointment was Cristiano. If we (and he) made that work better, he might have made a big difference from the bench and I think we'd have demolished Sevilla in the first leg, prolly won Europa. FA Cup, who knows.

He didn't want to start from the bench and didn't want to be ever subbed off. ETH was in a no-win situation. We improved after he left.
