Danjuma started his first game for Spurs. Didn’t look comfortable at all on the right and the only highlight of his game was linking up here and there, back passing. Kuluveski playing on his side also did help his game as he was drifting more towards danjuma and then trying to cut in. Got subbed around 63’ for Moura
Xavi Simons finished the season as a joint top-scorer… 19 goals, to go along with 8 assists. His consistency and ability to stay healthy (in his first full season, I must add) are very impressive. Simply phenomenal. What a brilliant piece of business by PSV, who snatched him on a free transfer
I thought they got him on a loan, no?? EDIT: you are right. I missed that news report https://www.fotmob.com/news/1guib5w...new-psg-deal-signs-for-psv-on-permanent-basis
Of course they were not interested in him as they felt Antony would stay one more year. He was already at PSV for a couple of months when ManU came in with money that Ajax could not refuse (he even played in the first 2-3 league games this past season before leaving).
Ah, okay, that makes some sense, but he was for free and Antony would move on at the end of the season in that scenario. He could have been signed and maybe loaned out, supposing that would be acceptable for Xavi. 91898
I hope Koeman isn’t a complete idiot like van Gaal and he actually has Simons as one of the first names on the starting sheet. He’s probably our best attacker at the moment. Simons and Frenkie are the cornerstones of the new Dutch squad. I hope Malen has also turned a corner and can be a part of this revamped NT. Also, Frimpong better be a part of the squad going forward as well as Botman. What more does the latter have to do to prove his worth?Integral part of Lille’s French league win dethroning PSG. Integral part of Newcastle’s top 4 EPL finish and CL spot. Even his detractors can’t keep overlooking his consistency.
I would suggest the core of this team will be Verbruggen - De Ligt - Frenkie De Jong , Xavi Simons - Gakpo, then we complement them with Wieffer, Botman (to replace Van Dijk eventually), Malen...Malen is not the same as De Ligt, De Jong, Xavi or Gakpo yet, but getting there.

Well, if Xavi Simons needed a reminder he's not ready for the big leagues, the Orange - Croatia match was a good lesson. He really needs at least another season on the Eredivisie. 93023
I see that Justinho has signed with EPL team Bournemouth after Roma said they did not want him any longer, nor did Valencia following the loan this past season. So he moves to a team that plays in an 11,000 seat arena and are in the bottom half of the table. Don't think he will get any Euro footie with this club. This is what happens when players leave the Eredivisie too early.
Wonder if Steijn is able to get Bergwijn playing well again. Ajax fans on twitter are very negative about his performance in the orange shirt, posting he continues his Ajax form in the Orange Squad. 93063
Yup, don't go until you have established yourself as an impact player at your club in the Eredivisie.
I dont think so. I have followed kluivert through out and from development point of view he has made good progress. Especially last season where he was one of the best players at valencia. I think with his experience, he is destined to thrive at Bournemouth.small steps is better than big. Golden rule and at 24 from experience point of view I would say there no one from his age group in Ajax that you can compare with him. I would go on say in his current form he is even better bergwijn and It’s a pity seeing him in NT. I’m sure we be debating on this more.
