I don’t want to be the guy that points it out but the other team’s goal was on Sánchez.

He’s gotten better in the attacking end but the defensive deficiencies are still there.

Give him a year like Edson. Look at all the shit everyone, including me, gave Edson and he panned out.

Feyenoord captain hands out big kudos to Ajax player

By JC Updated: Orkun Kökcü has paid a compliment to Ajax wrecker Edson Alvarez. In a conversation with Voetbal International, the Feyenoord captain says that many players in the Netherlands can learn something from him.
According to Kökcü, Álvarez's work ethic is an example for many Eredivisie players. "By playing against him, you know what to expect abroad. His Dutch players sometimes compared really sweet boys to him." Kökcü also learned from the Italian style of play of opponent AS Roma. "Sometimes I think maybe we should have had a little more of that character of those Italians to get that 1-1 over the line. But yes, we're simply not like that. Our DNA is different."

Alvarez was my highest rated player for Ajax today. His passing was spot on and he won almost every ball in his area. He had three cross field passes that were right to the wing player. He moved back to centerback for the last 25 minutes of the game when the starting LB went off injured.

It looks like he may be going to Dortmund this summer and I will wish him well as he has come a long way since coming to Ajax. I think he can fit in nicely there.
