  1. Freiburg confirmed that Flekken leaves at the end of the season. What's not clear where he goes.

    Didnt Brentford sign him. Epl

  3. Dunno. The only thing mentioned was that there was interest from the epl.

  4. Scherpen had a very good match against Feyenoord, he saved quite a few goals.

I thinking after playing regularly he is now showing his true potentials. Showdown of the gks I would say. Bijlow too was good on those two breaks.
The one and only weakness I have seen in scherpen his ability to react to those low ground balls . Not while stretching but typically when the reaction time is less and he has to kneel low.

  6. Nick Olij with his 14th clean sheet has joined the uncomparable great Jan van Beveren! And he did it as a fellow Sparta goalie:)

  7. Wow, wow, Olij again with a performance of excellent nature. Twente couldnot beat him, so his own defender did the job for them.:(

You forgot to mention Flekken was in the BuLi team of the Season too.

This is (hopefully) going to be a huge summer for Verbruggen… if he takes JO deep in Euro21, and moves to the right club (Brighton is closing in) - he will set up himself nicely for Oranje No. 1 in the very near future. But one game at a time, Portugal u21 next!!

Bijlow to Man Utd would be quite mind-boggling, he’s not anywhere ready to start for a top club, but playing as a backup won’t do any good for his career, especially at this juncture… I hope he makes an intelligent decision  BTW, reading that De Gea is getting lucrative offer to Saudi Arabian league.

Surprised Ten Hag did not go after Verbruggen who was linked to ManU, but if I was to speculate perhaps he thought it was a big jump for him.
Let it be said I think Ten Hag will regret not taking the young Oranje Keeper.
Has been linked with Onana of Inter but there has been talk that they had falling out at Ajax, and now perhaps Inter asking for too much money.
Bijlow? I cannot see it, and feel he would be way out of his depth.
Kevin Trapp the German also has been mentioned, but I’ve read a few articles that says Ten Hag likes Bijlow.
    We shall see.

  15. Mmm, goalies are either good or not good ball stoppers. To be usefull for the current game for teams with ambitions you also need to be able to play the ball comfortably.
It's not like with the field players, for whom to play for the top teams one requires to have several qualities at top level.

    Hopefully

    Bijlow- man united
    Noppert - feyenoord

    In between bijlow looks leaky.

  18. Marsman is out from Inter Miami, because of the Messi signing.......:eek:o_O
Seems to have to do with a special part in mls contracts, that they can nullify contracts, if it is needed to create space in the salary budget.

  19. Noppert - Olij: 1 - 3 for Olij.

Oranje GK at the moment is completely up in the air. Flekken perhaps on current form, but he’s looked shaky in his Oranje appearances.

  21. Well, the Orange Squad candidates havenot done a convincing application to say it mildly.
    Noppert, Verbruggen, Flekken:rolleyes:

Verbruggen made a massive error. He’s already in a non-ideal position where his club manager already stated his intention to rotate the GK’s. Can’t imagine he would get more playing times after mistake like this…

Flekken leaked three goals, playing at home… against previously goal-shy Everton.

Noppert.. what is happening to him? Whoa, 9 goals conceded in past two games.

  23. Olij said in an interview he was very disappointed, when the transfer to Ajax didnot take place, but now he has changed his mind about it.
Mmmm, wonder what that is that changed his mind
