He's not wrong entirely; had we been under a coach with a real brain we would have easily qualified but of course all of those goalless draws were a clear indication of needing to start anew and with a proper coach.

We likely would have been a complete joke at the world cup had we somehow manage to reach it last year.

not scoring for 8/9 games causes you not to go to a WC

every chilean and Colombian player really should feel ashamed. Same with Paraguay that Peru finished ahead of them Peru is worse than Venezuela

Technically we kinda of dried up in the attack. Until further notice at least

James and falcao are two historic players that I find it hard to replicate.

still though, we are better position by position than at least 5/10 teams. But those other 5 are not miles behind us. Especially Ecuador who seems to have another renaissance coming

Well the players are there. They just aren't on that level. Chile literally have no where to pick from which is the thing.

Ecuador have loads and loads of genuine top level young players coming through. We need to watch it whenever we come up against them

he's got no clue. He's getting horrible advising or no advising at all. We have all had shitty bosses in our careers. And those experiences usually help you prepare for what you need to do next. Not James. He still blames everyone else.

I hate to kick them while they are down. I just can't handle all the bs. 'My priority is Europe'. Really? Coming from a guy who settled for Qatar (or Saudi) and Greece the last few seasons. Is Brazil really a step down from Greece?

Plus Reuda saying he was protecting James. Doesn't seem like James needs protection. A reality check maybe. He needs to start considering no one is going to pay his high wage demands if they can't count on him for a full season. He put himself in a difficult situation. I thank James for all the great games he gave us in yellow but I know we can't depend on him anymore.

This is how you get to his age and keep making the same mistakes off the field, he takes no personal responsibility and is happy to deflect to the evil managers who have all wronged him. At the end of the day it's his career and he wasted a lot of it, all the blame isn't going to change that. You see it all the time in normal life, people who can't self reflect and are only looking to deflect from their failings will just keep making mistakes until something changes.

This is all talk. He is acting like a player already in retirement looking back on his career.
He should just shut up and play.

Hopefully he goes somewhere and gets minutes.
Lorenzo has known him since his younger years early on and has helped guide him with Pekerman. Maybe he can eek out a bit more from him in some capacity going forward but it will have to be a super sub role if we are seriously going to make runs in the next two tournaments in the USA.
Absolutely cannot make him a focal point of the team.

Brazil league is probably better than French, Portuguese, and not too far off Italy and Germany

right? just when you think he's got something that's going to make his biggest critics shut up, you get this.

I swear if Lorenzo calls him up after playing Kings league punch bowl games then Lorenzo has to go.
