No league champion quality team concedes 2 goals at home with the title on the line.
No #9 worth 2 cents misses a PK at home with the title on the line.
    No wonder they're not champions.
    Dortmund WORLD CHOKE CHAMPIONS
Gio deserves better after contributing 2 assists as a sub

Missing a PK often yields even more negativity than the miss itself when it is squeaky bum time. In the end it was the difference in the game. Haller will never forget that miss and neither will the BVB fans v

    Season statistics:

    Bellingham – 14 goals, 7 assists
    Brandt – 10 goals, 9 assists
    Malen – 10 goals, 8 assists
    Adeyemi – 9 goals, 6 assists
    Haller – 9 goals, 5 assists
    Reus – 8 goals, 8 assists
    Moukoko – 7 goals, 6 assists
    Reyna – 7 goals, 4 assists
    Guerreiro – 6 goals, 14 assists
    Bynoe-Gittens – 3 goals, 1 assist
    Modeste – 2 goals, 1 assist
    Hazard – 1 goal, 0 assists

Of course, Reyna played far less than the other Top 9 players on this list.

Feels almost like a pick 6 thrown when you're in the other team's red zone in pro football.

Kicker has to give him a 3,0 at least. Bet they weasel out of it and refuse to rate him.

Reyna needs to leave this poverty club. Doremund don;t deserve him.

Time to move up the club ladder and find a real team....a team that can win titles.

Surely such teams would have an interest in him.

Relax dude. After this season i dont think those clubs are interested in him. At least not as a starter and if hes going to leave dortmund its for playing time.

Enh, hard to say, really. He's a twenty year old coming off a season where he averaged nearly a goal contribution per game. If Reyna were insistent I'm sure a very good team would be interested. The right team providing the right role? Maybe not. But farfetched that his value is so low that a big-ish club wouldn't be interested.

He can barely last 30min without being gassed. I think that was a big factor to his sub role. I believe if he can prove it to others he can be a 70min starter, bigger suiters will come calling.

Interested as a starter**. I think its fair to say someone might take a flier but we are talking about, what, the top 10 clubs in the world?

just silly to call dortmund a poverty club and assume reyna is going to walk into a top 10 club in the world.

    Yes

I am seriously starting to wonder if he has some sort of long Covid lung situation going on.

Just looks like he makes great plays and then is just tired for 10 mins or so and then he can go again.

No I don’t play a doctor in a TV show either.

    just speculating.

Every time I watch Gio play that vision and technique jump out at me. I don’t see why others don’t see it.

Gio is 20. He has one job. Stay healthy, keep his head down and mouth shut and keep doing what he does. Ok, 4 jobs, but under one job title.

If he does and his advisors are competent, things will go well - whether at BVB for another year, or someplace else.

Dortmund is still a big team, though I'm not sure Bayern will be as generous next still. Still Bayern aren't quite as complete as they used to be, and Dortmund should compete next year with the right moves. I don't think Gio can really go to many other "better" places. I believe he will do well to stay, win back a starting spot, produce, and then evaluate the ground at the end of next season. I don't think anyone doubts the talent, but remaining healthy and some questions about focus are fair. He is only 20, so stay and win that spot and show what you can do.

I put this more down to his generally demonstrative nature. Whether its point that he wants the ball, being a bit sulky at times, or whatever, he seems to have hyperbolic expressions that don;t actually indicate what's accurate. So being a little tired, added to his dramatic flair, makes him seem exhausted yet he always seems to run and pop up in the right places. To me, it doesn;t acutally affect his game.

Did I call them that? Did I assume that? I think not.

Now, I think our positions are ultimately pretty similar. Are Real Madrid or Man City going to drop 60 million for Reyna? Probably not. Might Newcastle spend 30 million? That sounds plausible.

Is that a good idea for Reyna's career? Well, maybe. Certainly it's hard to see Terzic being the mastermind who elevates Gio to his highest potential. It's also easy to see how Reyna could end up in a worse situation (let's say, rotting on the bench at Chelsea in Frank Lampard's fourth interim spell as head coach).

Well, they should probably try to find a replacement for Terzic. Seems like a nice enough guy, who the players do like, but I feel like his level his more mid table. Dortmund needs a little more of a strategist given some of Bayerns advantages in finances which are reflected in things like depth. Not an easy call, because you always risk getting worse. Anyway, I wonder if a change in manager would be well received by Gio and the other players.

A team that can win titles? Such teams...like Citeh? Barca? Real? Bayern? Who do you think would go to the bench so Reyna could start instead of them.
