Guess who's back between the pipes?! GG also starts up top. Lennon in attack for the suspended Araujo, while Hernandez slots in at right back. If Etienne can come good tonight I think Atlanta can take points.
14' 0-0 Atlanta hasn't been able to retain much possession, which isn't as big an issue as allowing Orlando some dangerous possession around the Atlanta box. Need to find a way to settle things down a bit.
25' sees the home fans go nuts as Orlando gets a yellow for the same foul Atlanta has gotten away with 3 times. Lulz.
29' 1-0 Hernandez gets muscled off the ball as Orlando attacks on the left. Once he's beaten they have numbers in the box. Still takes a fortunate bounce for it to reach the open man on the right.
HT: 1-0 Right now Orlando is simply working harder. When they attack they do so quickly and in numbers. You can see the whole team shift forward. They're also aggressively challenging Atlanta's midfielders, leading to some turnovers. Sosa and Rossetto not making a good pairing tonight. Defensively Atlanta is failing to account for Orlando's midfielders off the ball, partly due to poor team marking and partly because Orlando is quick to move the ball around after those turnovers. Atlanta lucky to not have a yellow or two.
57'. Almada kills a 6v5 due to a poor cross-field pass to no one. In the ensuing scramble GG gets stepped on his ankle and is getting treatment.
66' Hernandez sees yellow for a rash tackle. It came after a spell of Atlanta possession in the Orlando half where, as is par for the night, Atlanta ultimately runs out of ideas. Dare I say, Atlanta is missing Araujo's pace and (sometimes) guile, tonight?
GG subbed off. No record for consecutive starts with a goal for him. Berry and Chol on for Giorgos and Hernandez.
And of course, we’ll need two goals since we’re basically guaranteed to give up another one in the 80th+ minute.
78' Guzan makes a great diving save to keep it a one goal game. Atlanta with only 5 shots thus far, none on target.
One point on the road, better than no points on the road. I'd be OK if Wolff and Chol started the next game in place of Etienne and Rosetto.
