You prove God exists first. I don't think either exists obviously. But your sarcasm raises another question - what parts of the Bible should we assume present an accurate view of the natural and supernatural and what parts should we ignore. And how do you know? The point is, your comments over the years have shown that you really don't have a consistent Christian theology, certainly not one that you've ever been able to present. But then, given you can't even define what a Christian is, I suppose it's not too surprising.
It's telling that you consider asking for clarification and evidence regarding specific religious beliefs to be the equivalent of actively trying to convert people to said religious beliefs.
Not in the context of explaining religion but I haven't bought used to reference things as trying to explain Star wars to cavemen. And it is that idea that comes to mind.
He's one of those people for whom, when he's on some program, I drop everything and sit down to listen.
Who are the clowns running Meatballs campaign? Leaked audio from Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) donor strategy meeting in Miami has strategists telling big donors that the Florida governor will shift to the middle during the general election — assuming he wins the Republican nomination.
Glenn Youngkin did a pretty good job of selling himself as a Trumper prior to getting the VA Gov nomination, then running as a mild-mannered moderate in the general election. I'm not sure the national media will let DeSantis pull that off though.
That's obviously the play. He's not on any path to the nomination unless Donnie dies or is incarcerated.
Be a real test of the GQP if he's locked up and they have to debate whether to keep him as the candidate. "He still does have a strong base. This is a tough call"
It would be funny if he were in prison and then couldn’t vote for himself because of Florida’s laws. What is the situation there in terms of felons voting? I think, but am far from sure, that felons got the vote via referendum or court ruling, but then the legislature put in some “guess how many marbles are in the jar” bullshit hurdles.
RIght--so DeSantis has to walk a much crazier--and more public--pathway to the nomination. I think it's nuts to think it's a good strategy; just musing on a reason he might think he could pull it off. I can see his people looking to see how another Republican Governor on the rise is positioning himself.
He did--both he and his campaign were very disciplined. Also, he faced a weak candidate who blundered late; media coverage was lazy and incurious; and the public was pretty numb and checked out after getting through 2020. I don't think his success provides a winning template for DeSantis; but his campaign seems dysfunctional and clueless enough to think it might.
Our politics are so ********ed up that on the heels of endorsing Biden in 2020, Scientific American has written an article about the danger of Ron DeSantis https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/ron-desantiss-anti-science-agenda-is-dangerous/
i think his strategy of running to the right of Trump is incorrect. Like over Disiney Trump is making him look like a weirdo goober. You get the feeling the campaign spends too much time in strategy sessions with David Sacks and Ben Shapiro
The voters overwhelmingly passed an amendment to give felons the right to vote. The GOP took that from them and added that all fines and payments must be completed first. So almost no one has been able to vote relative to the population.
