Yes! We get to see timeless legends Henry, Angel and Marquez. Some great GKing drom Greg Sutton and Dwayne De Rosario in midfield!!!! Oh wait this isnt 2012. MetroBulls arent cool anymore.

They may not be cool, but they seem to be pretty consistently competent, and tend to kick our butts. Last year, 1st game of the season, they destroyed us 3-1 at our house, and it wasn't nearly that close. It should have been 6-1, at least. That said, that was Matias's "lame duck" period and we were a mess. And last time before that, I think, 2019, they beat us handily, 4-1, in NY.

    Indeed correct.

When was the last time we even beat them? 2010? 2012?

It was all downhill after they let Marsch go. Not that this was ever a realistic possibility, but Marsch getting the sack and technically becoming available recently made me wish the Quakes still had an interim so they could have gone after him.

He would almost certainly never agree to coach the Quakes, but that won't stop me from wishing it could have happened.

Well, 2010 playoffs, I know, but can't remember after that. We don't play them all that often it seems.

Yeah really seems that way. Another name I dont recall us seeing very often is DC United, New England Revolution and NYCFC.

We need Mensah or Rodrigues to score their first goals like this... maybe against MetroBulls if they don't score against Houston.

Or maybe one of these for Marie or Espinoza.

We didn’t win many games in 2016, so I’m gonna say we had a lucky day :). Or maybe NYRB just wasn’t very good that year.

We must have gotten lucky and they had a bad day. They finished 1st in the division that year.

welll I just looked to see what happened...

They we're without Aaron Long who was with the National Team. They also rested a lot of starters that year

Bradley Wright-Phillips, Dax McCarty, Mike Grella and Sascha Kjlestan...

Oh well lol we still won.

Thompson was at CM that day, maybe shoulda kept him there.

It was the 6th game of a decent start, 11 points in 6 to start the season--that's better than the current record. It was one of those seasons where a tie was the most common result.

The last win in New Jersey, and the only one ever in that stadium, was the 2010 playoff game.

Well we faded pretty hard that year then, as we wound up 2nd to last with just 8 wins.

They're better then their record says but at the same time, there not good. This could be a good game to unleash 4-5 goals and get some confidence.

And we are usually very good at lifting other teams up when they need it most. We may not be a good team but we are good at helping others. Should get a humanitarian award.
