For some reason I thought this game started at 7:30. Tuned in for the 'pregame'. Down 3-0. Well easy choice to just not watch at all.
I am semi-interested in his spin of two 4 goal losses in a row, four losses in a row, and 6 wins in 27. But just semi. I would rather read one of you telling me about it.
We have 3 points through 5 games. In 2006, we had 1 point through 6 games. In 2017, we had 2 points through 5 games. In 2007, we had 4 points through 5 games.
I’ll take the liberty of describing it to you in advance: First 5 minutes: “That was a disappointing outing and we’re on an unfortunate run”. Second 5 minutes: “Columbus is really talented and they beat ATL worse than they beat us. We tried a different lineup, and give credit to Pablo for that…He’s really imaginative. Road games are really hard in this league. Third 5 minutes: “RSL is a ‘development’ organization. It was really great to see some of the younger, developing guys out there against Columbus. The future is bright when you look at the talent coming up through the system”. Fourth 5 minutes: “We’re looking hard at a true 9, and that should be very encouraging to RSL fans. We might be looking at some other additions too. Speaking of fans, we love you. There was an unfortunate misunderstanding about some of our social media messaging following the St. Louis match.” Rest of show: “Let’s go down memory lane about the great RSL days many years ago and give you good feels. We might return to those days at some undefined point of time in the future”.
The back-to-back 0-4 shutout losses is the worst two game stretch in team history. The team has given up more goals in two games before but never in back-to-back shutouts.
This was definitely the high point of the match. Not him playing, learning he would play. That was the high point.
I know, and even knew from the thread title. For whatever reason my brain just said it was at 7:30 I was having a million times more fun playing Jackbox with friends. So I think I came out way ahead of the rest of you guys.
