Lol. I'm with @YOUNGSTARS87 on this one. We're sick and tired of Florentino gaslighting everyone that he's actually gonna replace key positions like CF and RB for years now and never doing crap. Just get another winger, midfielder or centerback and put Carlo and Zizou on the hotseat to make miracles happen along with an aging core that's about to need crutches. Goodness, this is getting silly. Mbappe or bust, again and again and again and again and again..... I can't believe we still sit around one greedy frenchman to dry up an oil state in the hopes that he will play for Madrid one day. Let's just move on and find players that are actually realistic and not blowing smoke up Florentino's bum every summer. Have some self-respect.
As per @diarioas, during Girona vs Espanyol he allegedly told the assistant referee: “You’re very bad, terrible.” #rmalive
Wanted to come back to this because Focus posted an article after the Dortmund match with the headline "Tuchel instantly does what Nagelsmann never accepted", with the idea being that Tuchel made sure everything was simple and easy to understand, basic instructions for the players while Nagelsmann was switching entire concepts, ideas and systems on the fly until nobody really even understood what he even wants. Interestingly enough, one of Bayern's former youth players says the difference between Guardiola and other coaches is that he explained football in simple terms, just told players what they did, and whether it wouldn't be better to do this, or that instead in a very basic manner. I think this is how Zidane is as well, which is why he was always underrated as a coach, because he simply doesn't get in front of a camera fiddling with his jacket speaking in big words about the game. Put the players on, make it clear to them what you want to see and make it happen.
Håland "protests the World Cup" but now had an official endorsement deal in the middle east to promote tourism in the region. Sellout.
Tuchel took over on Monday and only met the majority of the team on Thursday. Tuchel will absolutely bring a different approach to the team, but to attribute today's result to him is a bit delusional. Dortmund absolutely blew this game away with amateur mistakes.
Good for him. Nothing wrong with doing business in the Middle East! That whole "protest against the WC" (one of the best WCs I've seen in my life btw) was purely politically motivated anyway. The players probably didn't care one way or another and just went with it to get it over with.
We're talking about in game management. Nagelsmann just talks and switches way too much, hence why he believes football should become like the NFL where players are mic'ed up with the bench. I've always been of the opinion that you can't teach top players much. Just got to have a clear and easy way to translate your ideas to players.
It's still selling out. Acting like an activist when it sells and then cashing out when nobody cares anymore. Players have zero personality at this point.
Nobody should have cared to begin with. All of it was fake outrage. The same parties that were loudest in their outrage were the ones heaviest in bed with Qatar.
There’s examples of players actually standing up for what they believe, it’s just some cases resonate with some fans and they remember them and some don’t. Take Griezmann and the Huawei/China case as an example.
Market value in football is absolutely shot. £100,000,000 https://t.co/K8zXwiose1— Scott (@AccountNo100) April 2, 2023
Thats strange, you would expect that at this level players are more receptive to more sophisticated tactical concepts, and whats more, that they would be excited at some innovations and experimentation. I don't know Nagelsmann very much, but it seems hes lacking the charisma to be able to convey his ideas, which is unfortunate in general because those ideas might really be great and shouldn't depend on rhetorical performance whether they are accepted.
Chelsea have agreed a deal for Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle. Package could rise to €20m, as per @FabrizioRomano. Will be a record for a 15-year-old. Fee seen as "eye-watering" by rivals. Dortmund were in race but couldn't match package.🇪🇨 pic.twitter.com/icHmEe3N5b— Ben Jacobs (@JacobsBen) April 2, 2023
