Good job by the better Penso on giving a yellow after the VAR decision was argued. Olsen should get a red for general douchebaggery.

Whitecaps are in the process of blowing the roof off BC Place...5-0 over Montreal in the 65th minute.

3 goals in San Jose have all come from the spot...I wonder if that's an MLS record?

    He's used to that

Midway through the second half before anyone mentioned the Rapids match in this thread. :ROFLMAO:

Next week the two worst offenses in the league, Colorado and SKC, both of whom have scored a grand total of two goals in six games, go head-to-head.

Knowing MLS, that game is going to end in a 5-5 draw.

Two straight for the Crew as well, on the other end.

Two straight 4+ goal wins for the first time in team history and a goal difference of +9 for two games also a club record.

3 home games. 2-0, 6-1, 4-0. I know DC & RSL are not exactly top notch & Atlanta was depleted, but damn. Been a long time since a 12-1 stretch over 3 homes games, if ever.

From a team that missed the POs two years in a row (narrowly), let some beloved/mainstay players go this offseason (Mensah, Santos, Artur), and has been sans Cucho for the last 2 and minus Zelarayan for one of those. Liking the Nancy hire. A lot.

And even more impressive to me, only 5 teams (not including Seattle) have outscored Jordan Morris.

As a cautionary note for the Sounders, their 4 wins have been against Colorado, RSL, Sporting KC and LA. Those four teams have a combined record of 1-9-12 (w-d-l; 0.55 ppg) and have scored a combined total of 10 goals (2 more than Morris) and have given up 34 goals. The Sounders other two games against Cincinnati and LAFC have not gone as well (Sounders scored 0 against those two).

Until last night, San Jose were the best team St. Louis have faced this season. The Quakes aren't a flashy team from what I can see early on this year, but they are getting results.

Well, to be honest, I was captivated by the St. Louis-Minnesota match at the time. Once it finished, I thought I'd check out the Rapids-LAFC contest. For a nil-nil affair, it was pretty entertaining. I thought the Rapids looked pretty decent from what I saw and thought they came closer to scoring in the final 20 minutes than the Angelinos did.

The first 7 MLS games saw 17 total goals scored. The last 7? Just 11 as there were 3 scoreless draws, and were it not for a needless challenge in the box by St. Louis, their match with Minnesota seemed destined for 0-0 as well!

The unbeaten/winless teams shrink from 4 to 3 heading into Week 7:

FC Cincinnati, Los Angeles FC, Minnesota United are still without losses.
Colorado Rapids, Sporting Kansas City, Los Angeles Galaxy looking for that elusive first win.

I just saw this play and am astonished anyone could argue it's not a handball. He's making himself bigger by sticking his elbows out from his body in an unnatural position. I don't think I've ever seen a defender take that kind of position when putting their hands behind their back. I mean, he made his upper body almost twice as wide as it would have been with his arms at his sides.

I wish there was a game of the week on a Sunday. Maybe one on a Saturday too.

I managed to watch 3 halfs last night. That's not enough for my fix.

Starting April 16, there are quite a few weeks with a single game on Sunday. May 28 and June 11 actually have 2 games. The Nations League means most of July is just completely screwy. August 20 has every game as a Sunday game. From August 27 on there's a pretty consistent game or two on Sundays as well until the final week or 2 of the season.

Lots of Next Pro on Sundays. Or USL or NWSL.
