im ngl, I used to eat a lot of frozen broccoli and it gave me the worst gas.

One of the many reasons, I stay away from frozen crap.

at the rate im going I may end up just being a vegetarian or something

I decided to try intermittent fasting, today's the first day. I'll be eating from 1-8 and the rest of the time I'll just be drinking water and coffee

first workout with intermittent fasting today, have to say I felt noticeably weaker, I didn't lower weight but it was tougher to get going than usual.

However, should mention that i've been going to the gym everyday since monday too

I feel like I have such an oddly shaped body but its probably just some body dysmorphia

my shoulders and arms are bigger, back is starting to develop too but my chest is small and then my waist is just fat, lol

I tried on a stringer to see how it looked on me but my chest is just way too small for those

Down to 143lbs today which is the lowest weight I've ever had. I forgot to check my weight the past 2 days though which is a shame.

yeah but keep in mind im 5'7. Im sure you're probably like 5'11 or something. The least i've ever weighed in my life was 140 and that's when I was a teenager, I've literally never been this thin in my life other than that

based on my calculations, I should be within abs territory soon. Also, need to see if the weight will fluctuate throughout the week.

and its funny you mention pizza because I actually ate a whole box of pizza a few days ago

what's your weight goal or are you pretty much there now? I love the 5-2 plan because it's totally sustainable. Specially as you get into those older years 45+, being "light" is a very good thing. nice job.

Well, the goal is abs, and to drop my body fat percentage to somewhere around 15 percent. Idk exactly how much more I need to lose but I'm willing to try this to see how much I need to weigh, im thinking its somewhere around 135-138lbs. I could be wrong but I don't believe I've lost much muscle mass If any at all. There are times when I do feel more tired, fatigued at the gym than usual but I wonder how much of that has to do with general exhaustion from my daily life routine.

I'm eating from 12-8 and no food outside of those times. I'm not rly tracking calories anymore, just try to do higher protein and lower fats. The thing that has me worried is that at times I get rly full from 1 meal and it makes it harder to eat later on, which I try to do before 8.

If I manage to find my abs, I will slowly work towards eating more, probably closer to my maintenance calories

that's totally reasonable. breakfast is really overrated, How old are you?

your stomach is technically shrinking (good thing) and your body is telling you what you need to do here. I mean you're fasting 16 hours
everyday! that's pretty intense. I remember with the 5-2 the benefit was you can kind of eat what you want when you want it, after fasting 24 hours-30 hours 2x a week. But it wasn't ever recommended that you do it back-to-back days as you get to a point where you're starving your body from needed nutrients and rest. Are you doing this alongside having done an annual blood test to make sure all your organ markers are on point?

I'm sure it's all fine but you're also hitting the gym everyday.... wowzers.... good luck!

im 28 now, I don't like thinking about my age, makes me sad. 24hours a day, lol that sounds insane. I don't think i'd be able to workout. Something that surprises me is that im even able to workout despite not eating before working out. Usually I workout at around 5/6 and I'll eat at around noon/1.

I feel the hunger usually at around 10, but i've gotten used to the feeling, I take it as my body's way of telling me that its burning fat, so I welcome it.

gym, 3/4 times a week. However, intensity levels have been sort of inconsistent lately. Just because I was trying to figure out a way to incorporate cardio alongside strength training which is rough when fused with the fasting, i've decided to drop cardio this week since im losing so much weight

should I get a blood test? never even though about it, lol. Im sure fasting once I get older will come in handy just for the sake of weight management

Yes I would definitely do a blood test at least once a year. Do it this week!

If only to at least have a benchmark and know if any of your bodymarkers are improving, staying steady or becoming an issue. You're going to want to tell your Doctor specifically what you're doing including your current activity. They will then recommend blood markers that are specifically telling for a person your age. I mean 28, is super young. You're probably clicking on all cylinders.

Any type of extreme body change (weight/size, etc) can be taxing on your organs. I don't mean to spook you. Most fasting can be really good and healthy. But always better to have the data than to stay in the dark.

What is your typical meal during the 8 hours?
