Him "croaking" would save a lot annoying news cycles and headache for the country as whole. I'd put that above personal satisfaction.

So you have a politician acting to, among other things, subvert democracy and Garland doesn't want to do anything 'political' or, if he does, he wants to spend year, maybe decades thinking about it.

Not a great situation, is it :(
The way it's being handled that's probably your best bet of stopping a slide into fascism in the not too distant future.

The fecker might die before he does too much damage.

Why don’t you explain to us the facts of the case, as you understand them? You seem pretty confident that there is no crime here…so take this opportunity to educate us in the facts.

I'm very disappointed in you. You pretty much promised multiple drunk NSFW posts that the mods would have to pull down, and instead you play a great round of golf. I want my $2!

I can’t explain the facts as you understand them…so it’s not my homework

honest question: do you actually want your commentary here to be taken seriously, and engaged with seriously? If not…wtf do you post here…with all the better things you apparently have to do?

I enjoy the performative outrage and catastrophizing posts that pretty much pervades most of the posts, especially those on Trump

But back to the case…. It’s very difficult to give you an explanation about it without seeing what he’s being charged with
Is there a list of all the counts somewhere? I have not seen it

has the statute of limitations ran out?
if this is a federal issue, why is the NY county DA pursuing it?
    is Cohen a credible witness?
    can they prove intent?
If they could not get John Edwards on similar charges it’s doubtful they’ll get Trump

Uh, do you really think that MAGA folks would ever believe that Trump died of natural causes? The conspiracy theory nuttiness would reach a whole new level.

Let's rephrase that. Is Trump's personal lawyer who handled this situation at Trump's instruction, and went to jail for doing so, a credible witness as to what actions he did at Trump's request that caused him to go to jail?

I'd say yes - otherwise he went to jail because ...

This is a strange hill to fight for. OJ almost certainly killed them, and OJ was definitely an abuser.

Not fighting at all. Fuhrman almost certainly planted the glove.

The do-gooders are not pursuing OJ because od abuse, they are pursuing him because more has been made of his trial than say, Robert Blake's or Roy Bryant's or J.W. Milam's or Jorge Zimmerman's...

...and don't accept TV as an excuse from anyone. We all knew well before OJ that rich men get rich justice. The surprise was that a rich Black man got rich justice.

Remember these are the people who want congressional committees dedicated to investigating Hunter Biden and other conspiracies even though he isn’t part of government

then they get outraged about the law

We can tell, as you are very good at it.

Not yet. The indictment has not been unsealed.
It is a bit of speculation, but anyone who has studied white collar crime can have a pretty good idea what it contains.
I am convinced the charges will included falsifying business records and, more importantly, conspiracy to falsify business records.
Beyond that, we do not know...yet.
I won't speculate further. We can simply wait until Tuesday or whenever the charges are unsealed.

    Statute of Limitations on what?

    There are state charges.
I have already explained why there are not currently federal charges pending against him regarding the campaign finance components of the case. Your boy's AG Bill Barr put a quick end to the investigation. We will see what happens in the future.

Cohen was there. He was deeply involved with the fraud and cover up that we presume will be the primary charges in the current case.
Remember, it was Tr*mp who was "Individual One" in the Cohen case.
Credibility is a matter for the trier of fact.
It is meaningless for us to discuss credibility at this point.

We have to see the charges before we even begin to speculate as to issues such at "intent."

This is why we have court cases and, ultimately, trials.
Edwards was found not guilty on one charge and the jury was hung on the other five.
It is quite possible that this will not go to verdict.

I read where there could be as many as 30 counts.

This is why I tend to get frustrated with presumption of innocence discourse. As you know, the presumption simply refers to the burden of proof in a criminal trial.

It does not apply to our discussions here.

For all intents and purposes, we know the conduct Trump is guilty of, and how he cheated in this way in the '16 election.

Whether he is found guilty is another question, but I certainly won't be presuming him innocent!

The (Failing) New York Times have said 30 or 34 counts.

    1. I'm an only child. My dad was dark enough that you'd you'd be somewhat swarthy even if he'd ********ed an albino.

    2. It's not a relevant question. No matter how much you want to make believe we don't all know rich men get rich justice, they do. Stop trying to pretend OJ's fame matters. His fame didn't make them go after him on golf courses and shit like he's the only living criminal within 500 miles

    That's a bit misleading though.

For example, each book entry made for the 150k to Stormy would be a separate charge of falsifying a business document. So, that alone could easily be 10 or 15 charges.
