Bayern sacked Julian Nagelsmann during the international break and replaced him with Thomas Tuchel, so the pessimist in me expects a new coach rebound, in addition to Marco Fritz being the ref who's known to be something of a twelfth man for Bayern. If Tuchel decides to come up with one of his "Tactical Genius" moves to show how smart and innovative he is then our chances will be better. One thing I have to say about Tuchel is that I'm still angry at him for squandering our best ever shot at winning the Europa League. One thing is certain, if we play to preserve the result we will get wrecked. I hope Terzić learned his lesson from our embarrassing ousting to a very dismal Chelsea in the CL. The 2017 DFB-Pokal semi-final marks the last time we beat Bayern when really, genuinely, truly mattered. Let's reset the clock on that one. Meyer wasn't too bad. Kidding aside, Kobel is the best we had for a long time but he has a game that he hopefully won't carry with him after today. It's annoying how easy we make it for Bayern. They don't even have to show something special to go for another 6:0 because we cannot stop making mistakes. It's as if we have an inferiority complex. Teams with worse players manage to do better against Bayern by just being solid, avoiding risks and playing to their strengths.
We are down 0:3. What you are asking for isn't impossibly but rather a miracle than just due to a few subs. Wolf and Can seem to be the only ones in the game, Brandt is getting there in the last minutes. Bayern seem to be patient and let us have the ball. It's almost like Tuchel follows parts of the playbook he remembers from Bayern beating us with Boateng style long balls.
They've been patient because they know our midfield has been a liability. Can has not been good. Wolf and Brandt and Reus started well. But Kobels shocking performance had killed our momentum. Yes i am asking for a miracle, but we need to try and get back into this.
