Amazing how Ron rages against the (((prosecutor))) is just baked in now? open Jew hating? I see Pompeo joined in
They're not hiding their anti-Semitism anymore. From the LGBT history books I've read, the history of anti-Semitism and homophobia have always paralleled in the last 2000 years - when one rises, the other rises; when one falls, the other falls. It's no coincidence they are both raging again right now. It's an animosity of "the other".
Fishsticks was on claiming trans and christianity are 'incompatible theologies' post shooting. The genocide is getting started
Imagine if Ron simply said oh you know, Trump used to be a popular president and all but he just has too many problems, too much controversy, too old - nah, this will all take years and the country can't wait for this indictment to play out - we need someone new.... but no! 9D chess is to rally around and defend his political opponent! The opponent who called him a groomer!
Yet another opportunity for the "Republican establishment" to move on. Instead they are falling in line providing him cover and support.
This is the part I don't understand. e.g why does Fox spend 2 years building up Ron and then rally behind Trump when yet another golden opportunity to knife him arrives? And why the hell would Ron himself do that?
Because they: 1. believe their own lies 2. feel it's more important to tear down democracy and the rule of law than to tear down Trump 3. know that Trump will die eventually and are willing to ride that caboose as far as it will take them down the totalitarian road 4. [insert additional possibilities here]
That is TFG thank you note to Meatball Ron after his tweet expressing his willingness to defend Trump and not support his extradition to NY. New York Times: “Make America Great Again Inc., the super PAC supporting Mr. Trump’s candidacy, has begun running commercials for the first time, with a roughly $1.3 million ad buy on CNN and Fox News for a spot attacking Mr. DeSantis.” “As expected, the ad focuses on Mr. DeSantis’s votes on Social Security and Medicare while he was a congressman. He once vocally supported restructuring both programs and raising the retirement age when he was a budget hawk in 2012. It’s a position that Mr. Trump has attacked him for relentlessly, and with reason: Such votes have historically been unpopular with seniors, who make up a substantial chunk of the Republican voting base.”
It would be easier for Ron and some of the members of the GOP to just be like, I like Trump but obviously with this trial and everything we can't win with them. They're out for him on so many levels and makes much more sense that you elect me who holds the similar conservative principles but with nothing to hold me back.
Anyone who does that gets dropped by the base, labeled a RINO and a traitor and loses their next primary. Trump controls the base, so he controls the party.
Besides these people have a built-in deference for authority and power so it takes that much more for them to turn against him. Do you expect the sheep to turn against the shepherd?
He controls the diehard 30 percent. I believe there is space to kill Caesar and still take the crowd with you.
I know right? They've gone so consultant class 9D chess when they could just say the powerful honest thing - and we know there is around 60% of the base who are open to this idea. Instead he seems to be trying to play to Trump's base who will never vote for him
This is precisely what DeSantis is doing. He is biding his time, supporting, but differentiating himself from Tr*mp and will step in and attempt to "step over" Caesar's body and be declared (or declare himself) the frontrunner. Too bad, he is going to find that people really don't like him, that he lacks what Tr*mp has (whateverthehell his people see in him) and much of the "diehard 30 percent" won't support him.
Republicans have spent the last six years (seven? maybe longer?) selling victimhood. The X are out to get you!, where X is one or more of the deep state, Blacks, Jews, Gays, Trans, coastal elites, etc. Or, X is out to get your kids! in the case of Q. Every elected Republican at every level has bought in to this. The ones who haven't have been removed from their position - Cheney, Kinzinger, etc. Mitt Romney is the only one left. Everything they've done since retaking the House has been aimed in this direction - the "weaponization of government" committee (the government is out to get you!), passing legislation to weaken the IRS (the IRS is out to get you!), the twitter files hearing (Big Tech is out to get you!), stop abortion (the libs are coming for the baybees!), etc. It's victimhood all the way down. So when Trump gets indicted, it's tailor made for this scenario. Everything they've been telling their voters is happening! They're out to get Trump! Trump is selling it like hell, adding in things like "Soros-backed animal" to make sure the base knows is the Jews and Blacks who are out to get him. Any Republican who goes "hold up, let's let the system work and see what happens, eh?" is going against everything that every Republican has been saying for years. They're going to get crushed.
I so ********ing wish we had someone who could inspire this kind of loyalty. The Left suffers from a debilitating lack of cohesiveness. Why don't all of us hate them the way they hate us?
That 60% didn't stop completely unelectable candidates from winning primaries. Dr. Oz, Blake Masters, Kari Lake, Herschel Walker, Adam Laxalt (NV senate race), all MAGA types who lost close races in swing states where a "reasonable" Republican could have won. The 60% went right along with the base to let those guys win the primaries and lose the election. What I'm saying is, the 60% is a myth. Trump controls the base and therefore the party. They're tied to Trump until he dies.
Gonna respectfully disagree with you on this one. I don't want the American left or the Democratic party to be completely beholden to any one person.
