With la liga pretty much lost why not give him some burn? maybe we can recoup $5 million and shed off his salary
That would only give him hope and determination to stay and give it one last try next season. With Ancelotti leaving, he probably already likes his chances of being able to lean in on a new coach for some minutes he season. And if it's Zidane, I think we are near certain to see Hazzard again at some point.
🚨🎥 | Apparently Eden Hazard can't 'dribble past academy players' & is 'physically weak' but can dribble through & hold off UCL-winning CBs! 😵💫😵💫Unreal smear campaign!pic.twitter.com/MgKFPIgYKD https://t.co/cNU2AUeGkj— CFCDigest (@CFCDigest) March 29, 2023
The effort is different. The academy players are gonna bust their ass against a star the UCL winning CBs are just warming up as you can see by the intensity in that video
Are you suggesting that second defender there wasn’t trying? That’s an unreal smear campaign! He clearly dangled a leg out giving at least 10%, maybe even 12% of a damn.
Um he dribbled right past them, brushed off the challenges as if they were little more than a gust of wind and nailed his shot into the back of the net. Is there another video they intended to post?
That’s the point there was a tweet that he struggled with the academy boys So someone else posted a video of him dribbling past the pros as a counterpoint keep in mind, there was almost no effort by the pros there lol
In that context it makes much more sense but I still think that's about what to expect from Mendy, and its still progress for Hazard who is supposed to fold like a blanket in that situation.
The video of him dribbling Rudiger shows basically a minifootball situation which rarely ever translates to the actual game. This video is more indicative: Hes creative in small spaces but in the pace of the game he will not have much success. I still think that for a quarter of what he's making currently he'd be an okay backup player. His pedigree and experience is not something to be discarded so easily when it comes to being on the roster.
He’s still skilled, you never forget that. problem with him is really being in the game. He is afraid of contact, or making mistakes. He is a bystander in the game he is done psychological; therefore, he is done physically and as a footballer
I think this perception that hes afraid of contact is exaggerated. He still offers himself for the pass often and gets clipped from behind, thats how he gets fouled most often. He doesn't take risks mostly because he instinctively knows he is simply not quick enough to get past his man head on.
I mean after copa del rey a no name footballer who clearly admires him enough to ask for his jersey after the match stated he was shocked at how uninvolved Hazard was. How shy and lackluster he was. I mean, that right there says it all
In a real game, the defenders probably tackle him harder or bodycheck him but in training its about boosting his confidence and not being the Munier who broke Hazard for the tenth time
The most interesting part about this thread is that it has never been outside of the front page on RMBS. Rofl. Any other player this inconsequential in terms of actual football played would've been long forgotten and their thread as dead as dirt. I wanna give mad props to his biggest fan for keeping this up.
