An attempt to chat with an AppleTV agent quickly resulted in a "Not our problem, contact Roku." That wasn't very palatable.
I haven't run into that yet, but I started watching the LA game on a browser, had to stop, picked it up later on the Roku. It remembers where I was, adding it to my "Up Next" queue, so I was able to continue from where I left off. So, that is a work-around, although inconvenient, until they fix it - start the game in a browser, then switch to Roku.
I avoided all results all day Monday until I could watch the game later. As @ElGordito pointed out THE RESULTS were at the top of the page!!! As for the Roku, you go to past matches and hold down that button for 3 seconds and then it will give you the option of watching the whole match. If you just press it, it sends you to the recap. I also struggled to find this, and after watching the recap decided I'd seen enough.
I was out of town for the DC game and wanted to watch the entire game when I got back home. I have tried multiple times to find the full game. I can not find it. These are my steps. What am I doing wrong? Load appleTV Switch to MLS Go to the REVs page Scroll down to the DC game and select Scroll to the bottom of the screen There is an icon at the bottom that includes instructions to click and hold for 2 seconds to get viewing options I click and hold on that icon and nothing happens When I let go it plays the highlights. I am accessing AppleTV through Comcast. Even if these steps worked why is it this hard? Are they trying to discourage streaming full games after the fact?
Looks like a Comcast issue. Works fine on my iPhone and my Roku. Try going here in your browser: https://tv.apple.com/us/sporting-ev...-revolution/umc.cse.1rmrtbcqygry4p5ajayxvlm7u Start the 90 minute version, pause and close, then switch back to Comcast and it should be in your "Up Next" queue to continue.
It did not appear on the Up Next list. Still can't view it at home through Comcast. Does anyone else use Comcast to access AppleTV? Are you having this trouble?
I have this same problem... but it is only with my Flex box. I also have a Roku device on a different TV and it works as others describe (hold for a few seconds and watch options show up Review/English full game/Spanish full game). Flex box only shows the Review even after holding for 3 seconds.
I had that problem. I have an older non-smart TV on my porch which has a Roku stick. Couldn't get the the whole match replay. Then I tried my new snazzy smart TV in the family room and it worked.
I think it is fair to call the Apple replay setup, in general, an extremely poor implementation. They deserve to be harassed for it and they should expedite an update that improves it. I have a weeding tonight and will have to watch on replay. I feel certain I will, despite trying to hide my eyes, either see the score and/or see the title under replays like, "watch player X goal" or "see the PK taken by Bou."
I am away next weekend (grampy duty) and will have to watch the game when I get home Mon or Tues, my plan was to have my youngest start my computer up and open the game , so I don't know the score.
Absolutely not, I watch the games on my PC, I should have one of the kids set up my TV to watch the games, but my PC screen is HD and 32", so good for solo watching. I am not happy at paying for the games, but, I like two things, that I can watch the games later and no black outs. I was very upset last year that when visiting my son (he is a NYCFC season ticket fan) Revs vs NYCFC, the game was blacked out. I have paid for the MLS streaming service prior, but I couldn't watch every game, or at any time. The new system could be better, that is for sure. When I would try and watch a game at a later time (on Fios) the game tended to be at 1am or some other strange time.
I did my gardening earlier in the day, so I was free at game time. Has anyone been able to find Revs II replays yet?
On the surface count me in the camp that thought that having MLS on AppleTV was a terrible thing. After all, it's still a growing league where you want to make it MORE accessible to casual fans and not less accessible....so why make it a paid package on a stream service? So yes, sounded like a terrible idea, but now that it's been a few weeks I thoroughly enjoy the MLS content that Apple TV provides. Every week they have all of the below.... 1.) A short video previewing your team's matchup 2.) Your team's actual game 3.) A league 'wrap up' show that essentially is like the old "NFL PRIMETIME". 4.) Individual goal/save highlight clips 5.) An instant replay program of all the controversial calls 6.) A program that shows all of the goals from the prior week This has dramatically increased my interest in non-REVS stuff. I love the 'wrap up' show where I can keep tabs of everything happening 'around the league'. Not to mention they have some cool other programs too......like past games (with the old tie breaker format) or player profiles. I'm a fan!
To be fair, the last 3 pre-date Apple. Instant Replay has been on mlssoccer.com and/or YouTube for years, going back to the Simon Borg days. #6 (weekly 30 minute show) started last year. But it is nice having it all in one place. The ExtraTime Podcast is also now on Apple TV/Season Pass. Episodes twice a week discussing all things MLS. Unfortunately, Charlie Davies is no longer one of the panelists.
And actually one of the things I forgot to mention is the MLS360 show. To be honest I haven't watched this because I'm either at the Revs game or specifically only watching the Revs game. I suspect they want this program to be the equivalent of NFL RED ZONE. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think their method is to just randomly check in on live action of different games. I think it would be cooler if they showed 'good scoring opportunities' or plays even if it was a slight delay (ie, not live). Think of red zone when there is an 80 yard touchdown pass, they won't have that live but they'll show it to you after the fact. I think if they did a slight delay and jumped around to different great plays and scoring opportunities that could be cool (and when there are none then you can cut to random live action). Maybe they do this already. I don't know
I watched it for a bit after the last Revs game ended. They try different things. They have 4 studio hosts discussing the day's action. Sometimes they have 4 games live on the screen, other times just one, other times a recent highlight.
I'll be flying to the UK for vacation (first overseas trip since COVID), leaving right at kickoff Saturday. So I'm looking forward to actually trying to catch this on APPLETV when I land in London Sunday morning. On a separate LRC note: really excited about this trip as I FINALLY am going to catch an Everton match at Goodison. Became an Everton supporter due to Joe-Max!
Last week's game drew a great home crowd of 36K (!) and, for a change, the team didn't lay an egg in front of a big crowd. Looking at ticket availability for most of the remaining weekend home games shows markedly fewer options than previous seasons. I'm wondering if the lack of local TV is driving a surge in ticket sales? We had a slow, staggering start attendance-wise, because of the early season start/dicey weather in Feb/March/April, but I'm getting the sense that we may be on the way to a major jump in season numbers when all is said and done.
