I’m hoping that’s the case given the captain and best player by a margin are on the bench. Miley also started both of the previous two games.
Callum Logan (club U16) played for us on last international break v Germany - from what I gather a deal was agreed with Spurs last year but he subsequently opted to stay, sounds as though they will go again for him this summer https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/44670/tottenham-remain-keen-on-town-youngster-logan
The draw takes place Monday afternoon. I believe England get one opponent from pot 2 and two teams from pot 1. Best squad in pot 2 is probably Germany. Italy & Poland also strong. From the top section you'd probably want to avoid getting more than one of France, Spain or Portugal. After those results I assumed Norway would qualify but they ultimately missed out. Only took a point off Croatia & Slovenia when they were apparently the superior team in both games and a 5-0 victory over Belgium in their final qualifier was not enough. Obviously the Belgians didn't make the tournament either. They also started Martin Sherif as their striker, who joined Everton at 13. And of course that match saw Tommy Setford play against the nation he was born & raised in.
Looking at the results for this side, if we’re honest it would be a big surprise if we won the tournament. It would probably hinge on Nwaneri being exceptional and leading us to the title with his goals.
I agree, A more realistic but still rather ambitious target should be for them to qualify for the under -17 World Cup. That involves either making the semi’s or being in the top 2 QF losers and winning a playoff against the other one.

As an Arsenal fan I would love for him to stay and think here is better for his development than a Chelsea/City, but I do hope that if he does move he doesn’t get the same hate as Hutchinson did. Ridiculous and embarrassing for teenagers who have barely played for the first team to experience that. Good on Wilshere for seemingly supporting Nwaneri wherever he goes.

Tough group - not least because even if you win the group you very likely end up with one of Portugal/France/Germany. Very bottom half heavy tournament. I think qualifying for the Under 17 world cup would be a good target for this group. Seems like we can put out a pretty strong best 11 if we have everyone available, but the depth is poor and we have a strong drop off in competitiveness. It'd be good if Jimmy Jay-Morgan was back for the tournament, seems we struggled for goals outside Nwaneri in the last round. Shame that for whatever reason, it doesn't seem like its possible Ndala will play with this group either, he'd be a big help.
There are questions to be raised about why the depth is poor. I think it might be too soon for Jay- Morgan. It was said he was out for three months in early March.
Lewis-Skelly as well. The final matches are in half term, but I doubt they’d call someone up just for them. I know Lewis-Skelly missed club matches earlier this season just to revise for mocks as well so I think his parents might want him focussing on exams even if England were able to come up with accommodations
Players sitting exams is a solved problem. I wouldn't worry about it. https://www.thefa.com/news/2017/may/18/england-u17s-players-sit-gcse-exams-180517
