Just going to state the obvious here, what all KNT fans probably know and think...

When Conte was talking about selfish players, I think he has to mean Kane.

The difference between last season and this one is that Kane was such an assist machine for Son, not just directly but indirectly as well with his hold up play.

But that's the problem, if he holds up the ball, he's not going to strike as much when you've got Son or Richarlison who can get behind the defense so quickly. It's bizarre to watch some of Kane's decision making in games. There are times when you see options developing in slow motion and Kane just simply ignores the easy pass to Son.

This has been such an annoyance to me this season, that I stopped watching many of the games.

Son has always been a goal scorer, and I think he still has it. He just can't press and track back like he used to anymore. His aggressiveness took a sharp downturn after Andre Gomes' leg break, and after getting played by Rudiger when he was at Chelsea... which is fine. But not under Conte. He still requires son to do all that extra running.

Having said all that, I regard Son as a bit of a wuss and drama queen. I wish he would quit all that smiling and sanctimonious crap. And that smug comment on instagram about playing for the national team, after clearly his younger teammate suffered, was total bullshit. Have lost much, much respect for him.

As for many of the korean fans' reactions to Kim, what small minds.

The biased English "he's one of our own" Spurs fans are blind to it, but Kane is one of the biggest reasons why they will never win anything. He's resigned himself to not winning anything with them and is using them to achieve personal tallies. That rubs off and sends a message to your teammates. Last yr, he fully downed tools and refused to play for Nuno, for half a season and when Conte came in, accepted Son's "head start" for the Golden Boot but this season he wants *his* numbers at the cost of team play. HK is a phenomenal world class striker, but he's disappointed and disappeared in too many big games and as many games as he wins for Spurs, he costs them important pts as well with his decision making. Insisting on taking frees is now a joke every time he does it. But Richy works himself into some great positions waiting for the pass from Kane, but it never comes. Happens to Sonny too but in Kane's defense he still does try and look for Sonny but seems to be more during inopportune moments. During critical game changing moments, he sees Son's run but will ignore it and chooses a difficult shot. Pulling a Lewandowski essentially. But if he gets his goal via a pen, or poaches a tap-in he saves the day. But he may not have neccesarily played well or worked well with and for his teammates but will still get all the plaudits. But there is no one to get in his face and say, "look do you want personal records or do you actually want to win something?"

The whole notion that he will go somewhere else to lift a trophy??? What does that say to your teammates?

it went off on IG. Sonny took an underhanded passive aggressive swipe at KMJ. low class move. Not what a true leader would do. Smacks of jealousy and having to share limelight with KMJ. lost a lot of respect for Son.

KOR netizens over reacting to KMJ are a fukcing joke. These netizens who've clearly never played a competitive sport in their lives or who've been brave enough to ever work abroad in a diff language or culture hiding behind their kb's are a plague.

the best I can make it out since my recent question here is that KMJ was "over-expressive" to the backline mates and even at JWY (elder) and Sonny had to put him in his place, sorta...

or do I have this twisted?

Whatever the facts were, unless the involved divulge details we will never know BUT whatever the internal strife was should have been kept internal.

yes, in the end it could have been handled better by everyone involved and should have been handled in the room. But the door was nudged open and of course, the KOR Press swung it open and in a true sign of the times moment, taking it to Socials and leaving it for interpretation was pouring fuel on the fire.

Glass half full, maybe next camp Klinsmann can get them all to air it out and move on. Also, we're Korean so there's always something...

I've looked at Son's post, and the words themselves are not accusatory in an open way. But then again, I'm a low-intermediate learner at best, and I am poor at reading subtle hints.

Someone should encourage the two of them to make up.

Good. He should be overexpressive. He's the only winner in the team, other than Kang In (U20 world cup). I don't consider Puskas or EPL topscorer a trophy.

Can't we just talk about KFA's ********ing awkward decision to pardon 100 assholes instead of whining about Son and Kim???

talked about today on Radio Catalan. The hosts/guests said Xavi is an admirer of SHM and were saying on air that Xavi thinks Sonny could help them and thrive in his system. But then they talked price and how Barca would have to clear out a few players before bidding.

Then other news came out from inside Tottenham camp that certain staff feel Conte's training regimen destroyed Sonny's season. Conte did not take into account the added air miles (and exhaustion) and number of added matches from Qatar in a WC interrupted season. The over training seems to have had a noticeable effect on recovery, or so it's been leaked or said to the press since Conte's sacking

Barcelona play against packed defenses. This is where Lewandowski helps, but I feel their style, unless it gets altered from the usual Spanish possession football, doesn't fit Son.

As much as I would love to see SHM at Barca, I agree that I don't see La Liga complimenting his style.

Where do y'all think, back to the Bundesliga?

I just think he just needs to become a nine. Maybe unless he gets some rest this year and comes back fresh next season. But Kane's gotta be gone for him to stay with Spurs

Union Berlin would be a great fit for him. Partnered with a tall striker, he cold do insane damage on the counter. Not a glamorous club, but they might win the Bundesliga yet, by the time summer comes. If they sell Sheraldo Becker...

If he ever moves, yes. Bundesliga is the only option he has imo.
