Lohmann's first two sequences have her demonstrating mid-field compose we haven't seen for 85 damn mins... Straus has been so poor in this competition, but today... wow.
It's been said on numerous occasions, but she's not an impressive player, and clearly only at Bayern because her past with the current coach...
Still better tactical application than anything witnessed with Straus team lol This hasn't been a contest.
No wingers, asking Hansen and Rall to be Simon, Glas, Gwinn quality players, for a side depending on Stanway and GPV to progress the ball into the opposition half... what a joke lol. Bühl and Kettt wouldn't even touch the ball out wide, with Lohmann (their real best CM player) coming into the match with 10 mins left to play... wow... lol...
Compared to last season, I still maintain this is an inferior Bayern team; where this season we've seen various factors come into play to mask what's been an otherwise very poor footballing/tactical Bayern side this season. So while they're now leading the league thanks to conceding less goals, I believe Bayern still been most exposed in the UWCL where being able to create/score goals the most important attributes towards a teams success. Honestly... if Straus wasn't in his first season, I feel like more people would question the nature of his own performance with this team. As we saw some genuinely goof sh*t today, that wouldn't be tolerated, or defended with past coaches leading this team...
Not me lol... I don't think she can defend 1v1, and for a tall woman seems to lack physical strength you'd expect to see with a strong athlete. It's whenever Rall compared to MVT using Anyomi, or Kleinherne at FB, where I personally ask why she isn't considered a better option for a wnt who'll typically require their FB's defend space more than be tasked with 1v1 duels. But for Bayern... while Rall better than Hansen, it's still night and day when you try to compare her at FB with Gwinn, Glas, or Simon.
same thing happened last season to Arsenal & Chelsea who got stuck playing the postponed FA Cup final at Wembley due to played at an certain date to commemorate some 100 year anniversary date on women’s suffrage. Both clubs bombed shortly after that to HOF & WOB(those games weren’t even close same warning could go out for Wolfsburg(they might not be 100% up for this game) cept some differences in their favor; WOB don’t got the injury problems like Bayern an huge bench that could arguably be the 2nd strongest lineup in the Bundesliga PSG now claiming Groenen is out to go along with their 3 top missing CB’s and/or near the personal Arsenal had I hope Stroot makes the changes quickly if his starters can’t deliver

The bigger news here is Hegering (their best player for a few weeks now) is on the bench. But I see Pajor is taking the blame for the coaches bad team selections lol. Either way, it's a promising sign to see Stroot try and bring balance to his starting 11 again, even if he won't make the obvious choice of dropping Roord to the bench, finally starting Pajor - Popp within a 4-4-2.
This is complete nonsense... why are you trying so hard to defend this man... Bayern just played 90 mins, where Lohmann would only feature for 10 mins, in a game their coach thought Hansen and Rall better wide attacking options than Bühl and Kett... Bayern didn't create ANYTHING, during a 90 mins Arsenal kept giving them the damn ball lol; seeing Bayern end the match with more possession over a 90 mins they should have lost by more goals. There's no defense for how poor Bayern have looked with Straus as their coach in this competition. It's been nothing but a downgrade in performance, covered by individual moments of quality saving the day.
bad news for poster, Lechus, but ultimately needed to be done, as Pajor been on a slump. Still can’t forgive Stroot for turning Brand & Wassmuth into bench players. But the who knows; maybe Tabea is making more money on the side as an psychologist?
LOL... last season Bayern didn't have enough healthy players to make a complete bench, and took PSG to extra time, in a game they were fantastic in defeat. But were supposed to protect Straus because Simon and Gwinn weren't available...
If Roord is still taking too many touches, unable to progress the ball quickly to players ahead of her, she'll need to be benched for the foreseeable future. But knowing how Popp works as a #9, I wouldn't be shocked to see Roord look better today Vs PSG... However... I still feel like Pajor and Popp should have started this game as a partnership.
not condoning Straus but missing as well were Dallmann & Tainara and obviously Lohmann must have been carrying a slight knock for the reduced playing time. And it’s not like Arsenal was brilliantly coached either, lol Straus is still one up on Scheuer since now he did beat WOB in league play
