Crazy. He just earned his way back into the first team and showed he belongs there. Might be back to square one...

That's why I never wanted him at this team. Too volatile. And, I agree that the league does not fit his profile. BUT, I do like that this kid is facing adversity. You can see in his last match that he was playing with something to prove.

Personally, I think he's still young enough in his career that it isn't too detrimental that he isn't starting. He's still learning and growing physically and mentally. If Watford gets promoted, I don't mind if he sticks around another year for them even if he's mainly subbing in.

If they stay in the Championship, he either starts or he needs to get out.

Maybe he just prioritizes strong physical players instead. There's managers like that

how old is he? 18/19? totally agree, perfectly normal to not be starting

Watford have a new manager now so perhaps its sort of a new start for him? Idk I get the feeling Bilic wasn't fully sold on him.

Sadly I don't think the new manager is entirely sold on him either. None of us can fathom how he is behind Bacuna.

Everytime he has come on he has created and looked the best player we have. Perhaps a damning indictment of the others around him.

He and Hurtado will be here next season I am sure. And they will be in the Championship again. There is no way we are getting promoted. There's something very rotten in the playing squad and an owner who keeps making poor decision after poor decision.

The kid has always shown a positive and good attitude which is great. Never gets discouraged. But I bet he must be frustrated with some of the idiots he is playing with, the constant changes in management and the limited playing time he gets.

Gino likes signing young players with talent either from Colombia or Fluminense. Outside of that he doesn't have much of a clue. And as a club we have been appalling at developing players aside from Richarlison.

The owner Gino Pozzo only has the club because of his father who runs Udinese (who are run brilliantly) and he is useless.

Perhaps having a phenomenal U20 World Cup can help him push his weight with the club or maybe garner a buyer

I don't think he'll be sold or loaned out. But it depends on the state of the club finances. The budget will be greatly reduced as parachute payments reduce in the second season after relegation. Pedro and Sarr will be sold for certain. But as the owner keeps the state of the club's financial resources very secret who knows.

We did undersell Cucho and Estupinan in the last two summers. Fingers crossed the new coach and Ubenga get him the development he needs and decent players around him.

Criminal this kid is wasting time not playing consistently at Watford...

In a different era where River had the dough to make these kinds of deals they'd of taken him, shaped him up and sold him for a fortune, exactly the type of player their fans would delight in as they did with Juanfer.

Allegedly Porto sent scouts to watch Yaser play with the u20s the past few games.

Let us hold hands and pray.

Feel like if we all chipped in and bought a slice of his contract we would mint money in 5 years from his sale :D. I mean at $3mm this guy is a bargain. Hope he's got the right type of counseling around him because he has so much potential.

    Finally.

Hopefully it opens up the floodgates and he score a bunch more in what is left in the season and in the Mundial.

The Watford community online seems to understand that Yaser is both their most valuable future asset and criminally under utilized by their side this season.

Even as we want him to go to Portugal, their fans hope he is the one asset they keep as they will likely sell a bunch of players this summer.

Personally, I don't think a Championship ascension battle is the place to develop this kind of talent and I think he'd go to Porto or Benfica and really shine... The u20 is going to be KEY for him.
