This little exchange has already made it onto his wikipedia page.

If he is in Congress, how is he homeschooling his daughter?
    He does "we're homeschooling her."
So that would be Mrs. Burchett? Of course, that is the second Mrs. Burchett, party of family values and all that.

So you are a 2nd amendment enthusiast now?

As fvcked up as republicans are, this could give them an idea on what type of background checks they would support.

Lots of people were placed on the list just because they shared a name with someone in a secret wanted list.

Lots of innocent people lost their right to fly and had to go thru a lot of trouble to clear their names so they could be allowed to fly again.

Taking away a constitutional right just because your parents named you Osama would be fvcked up.

Perhaps for the wrong reasons, but those reps were right on that one.

Interesting update. Ignoring some of the language issues I mentioned upthread, interesting info.
    Highlights:
    Possible mental issues.
Shooter seemed to be living with parents
Shooter has multiple guns, parents only knew of a single, which was sold.
Parents were worried about gun purchase, and relieved at sale.
    All guns were purchased legally.
Tennessee has no "red flag" law.
Shooter was previously unknown to police.
Officers took fire when arriving at school.
Based on the position of shooter when firing at officers, Chief suggested shooter had tactical training.

There were a couple of questions I couldn't hear that the Chief said "speculation."
Somebody asked something about Easter week approaching.

And again, I'm going to want to know the after-action report. The body cam footage of a couple of officers has been released. (Not going to link.)
One of them arrived, searched room, heard shots, and ended up shooting suspect. Total time from getting out of the car to shooting was about 3m 45sec.
The second one was from the time entering the building and was about 2min.

That's a bit of a pretzel you made there. It seems that the concern for constitutional rights were limited to allowing more people to own guns. The rest of the constitutional right? ******** 'em.

Don't confuse your ignorance of the history of deadly violence against the LGBT+ community with a lack of deadly violence against the LGBT+ community. I've had a white friend murdered because he was gay. I've had a white lesbian friend beaten until legally blind while the police watched. I've had bottles thrown from passing cars at me while walking with a date along a boardwalk. My friend's white mom couldn't figure out why all of a sudden she was having things thrown at her from cars while bike riding. My friend realized that her mom had put a pink triangle sticker on her bike helmet (her mom had no idea what it stood for). Once she removed the sticker, the projectiles immediately stopped.

Quite frankly it wouldn't matter what the terms were. They could call themselves the New Incredibly Caring Elite Transpeople (aka NICE Transpeople) and they would get attacked just as much, with overkill being an all-too-often component.

And when the American soldiers liberated the concentration camp survivors, they released those with the Star of David on them but those with triangles on them were sent to jail, for they were criminals. (As reported in a chapter of Gay Life and Culture: A World History).

Well, that's true, but it would take more effort to attack.

See the post immediately after yours. Twitter has overreacted to the use of the word "Vengeance" by banning the poster itself.

They didn't overreact to the word "Vengeance". They responded to MTG's unending stupidity, which does not include concern about this flyer. The most popular definition, according to Google Dictionary, is "punishment inflicted or retribution exacted for an injury or wrong.

Punishment. Before I just blithely go about my day, I'd like to know how they plan to decide who deserves their vengeance and who gets to live.

Britannica Dictionary definition of VENGEANCE. [noncount] : the act of doing something to hurt someone because that person did something that hurt you or someone else.

Words mean things. If they didn't intend to wreak havoc on a bunch of people, they should have used a different term.

I have no respect for and do not value MTG's existence any more than you do (probably less, because unlike you, I'm actually in a victim demographic), but I was concerned as soon as I read that flyer.

I mean, if they wanna play the "I'm hurt, so if you somehow accidentally get hit by the bullets I aim at the real target of my angst, too bad, because I'm hurt. My hurt supercedes any and all concerns you may have for your own safety" game, we should probably all be concerned. I'm not interested in becoming a martyr for anybody lighter than a brown paper bag.

Did you bother to read the NBCNews article before you decided to attack my comment?

Twitter removed 5,000 tweets that contained the poster.

As for the word "vengeance," I already defined the term and, as I explained, I know the context of the use of the term.

    From the article:

Ella Irwin, Twitter's vice president of product overseeing trust and safety, said the company had conducted a "sweep" to remove more than 5,000 tweets and retweets of the graphic, including Greene's.

"We do not support tweets that incite violence irrespective of who posts them," Irwin tweeted. "'Vengeance' does not imply peaceful protest. Organizing or support for peaceful protests is ok."

According to Irwin, Twitter decided to restrict the graphic from being shared but with “no impact to users for having tweeted it” unless it was “reposted after removal or was posted with additional calls for violence/ wishes of harm.”

Greene’s office shared a copy of the deleted post and Twitter’s communication with her but did not respond to a request for additional comment. Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday evening."

    I have now read it.

It's pretty much what I expected it to be, which is, Twitter banned MTG for reposting the flyer. She should have been banned long ago for numerous things, and I don't agree with her banning here... but I'll take it.

If a Black group had advertised a day of vengeance, there would be no Black Americans outside a jail cell that day
