These guy’s will never forget this match. They’ll go on telling their grandchildren that they played the world champions and with the greatest of all-time. I’m glad we played this island nation, which is something we should do every now and then. Next time, it should be the tiny footballing nation of England. :D

I feel your sentiment. It has been three months, and it still feels like it just happened. These friendlies that we just had were a coronation of our triumph. I think we as fans finally had the chance to sit back and enjoy a couple games without having to worry about the next one in front of us.

There will certainly be a World Cup hangover. It is impossible not to have it but I think Scaloni and Co. are already gearing up for the next challenge. I’m going to be really interested to see who Scaloni calls up, who he leaves behind and how he sets up.

But for now, let’s enjoy what we have achieved over the last year and a half.

I am not worried. He says that he feels in his prime with injuries behind him. He is 28 so he is really at that prime age for a midfielder. He just needs to mature a bit and find a club that suits him preferably in La liga where he won't have to be a runner every week. His salary is very high and hes back at psg.

But yea he has not shot of taking back the spot from Enzo because no player can. Problem is Enzo is too good in that spot. I was watching a YouTube analyzing his games with Chelsea and beyond the almost flawless stats the man does 90% of things right in that position. That's why coaches won't play him in more advanced position, he's already a better than anyone in dm

I have no doubt that Paredes will be in the Copa 24 squad unless he has insanely terrible form or injury stops him. We do need a backup deep lying playmaker to Enzo and that role is occupied by Paredes for now. For the WC26, it's up in the air depending on how both the pibes and Paredes perform.

He is a good option to have to push Enzo more up the field (how we seen vs Croatia) and he is clutch in penalty shootouts. Plus he is in the club de amigos lmao. There are other players that I feel that we should phase out more than Paredes imo.

Agreed. But if we do have to settle for China, we can at least avenge the loss from the 1 time we played (along with Cameroon, they’re the only ROW country we have a losing record to). I’d assume Japan will push to play us though as they’ve played most other higher tier countries from the Americas lately.

Bangladesh and China...? I know we are not that hard-up for money. They were given 40+ MILLION USD for their victory in Qatar. I wish we could settle for some stiffer competition. The US put in a request for a friendly but the federation shot them down. There is a CA next year in the US, so that is understandable.

I'd just let Aimar take control. Masche is out of his depths in this matter. I do not think he would be stupid enough to bury himself in front of the home fans. As previously mentioned, there needs to be continuity from U15s(At least U17s) all the way to the senior side. You cannot have some odd disconnect at an important stage.

And I do think we will host. Why would Infantino and Tapia meet? It sure as hell cannot be held in the Middle East and we are the only federation from my understanding that is willing to host the tournament.

Bangladesh I could understand as their support was outwardly. But I agree with you, hopefully we can get a better opposition for the 2nd match in Asia. Bring in Germany if they have no plans during the summer.

Argentina should do the right thing and play in Bangladesh, after the support Bangladeshi fans give to the Argentina NT they deserve that.

Xabi Alonso with a tremendous praise for Exequiel Palacios:

"Pala lleva dos meses jugando a un grandísimo nivel, la gran mejora del equipo vino en gran parte por el paso adelante que dio Pala en el equipo", dijo en conferencia de prensa.

"Él tiene ese dinamismo, esa agresividad para recuperar el balón, cada vez interpreta mejor el tiempo del partido, cuando tiene que jugar largo, corto, cuando tiene que jugar al espacio. Lo invito y lo motivo para que siga queriendo crecer porque nos hará mucho mejores"

Palacios has been nominated as Bundesliga's player of the month. If Xabi Alonso stays one more season at Leverkeusen, Palacios should do as well and then move to a bigger club in summer 2024

Lol at the right thing. While they’re at it, the team should give Big Soccer Argentina a showcase as well. They’re only doing this is because money could be made. It has nothing todo with the “right thing”.

I feel bad for Latauro. He gets a pass so far because of his copa america and wcq goals + a few instances where he was clutch for Argentina.

I hope he gets his striker instinct back. I think he has a mental block.
